House update and pictures!

So I haven't shown ya'll pictures of our dirt pile in awhile! Of course I have some pictures with people in them but not many at work so I'll try my best! Nothing to exciting is going on at our new house site. They have of course dug the basement, poured the basement, put in pluming in the basement, dug a hole for a sump pump (which is awesome in case we ever HAVE to put one in they are doing half the work and half the expense for free for us!), poured our driveway, front stairs, and garage floor, painted the exterior concrete, and put the window in the basement! Doesn't seem like much but it really looks much more like a house with a painted foundation and a front porch and even part of a garage! I know it will be so so much better once they put up the framing (Oct 1st is when it is scheduled :( To far away for me!) and stuff but it's still exciting to me to see concrete laid! I keep telling the people at the office in 0ur new neighborhood to get out there and work and make them go faster but they don't listen to lil ol me :( So anyways here are some pictures I hope you enjoy!

Growing up is hard to do........

Not to be confused with Sweatin To The Oldies (Can I get an amen? You know you've done them before to. Richard Simmons is amazing, ok maybe not in that picture but I enjoyed it!) "Breaking up is hard to do" but growing up sure is! At least for me. I am seriously in denial, I can't believe I am a grown up. I still feel 19 and although my life as drastically changed all for the better I don't ever see myself being almost 30. A wife, a career person, trying to have a family, a home owner, ahhhhh it's all to much for me! N-E-Wayz sorry back on track.
So of course after sleeping in about 2 hours later then "work" time our first stop was picking up some vitamins from Steve's most wonderful holistic Doctor, then off to my favorite place in the entire world and yours the DMV! (dun dun dun) Of course I was stupid and didn't think of the fact that there would be 2913802938 million 15 yr olds there to get their permit for school. Yea not so fun. So after getting one of these but not 1/2 as cute as this girl. Yes it is quite possible I win for ugliest driver's license picture ever. And if I know you in real life do NOT ask to see it, it will stay tucked safely and securely in my wallet until 2013 when I must go and get a new ugly picture. That is all about the DMV now back to your regularly scheduled blog.........

So after DMV disaster we run to see Mommy and pick up their GPS for Steven to use on his upcoming work trip on Friday ( :( ), chatted for a bit and ran to the ever lovely BK where ppl in Ohio bathe in the kitchen sinks. I digress, Steve promised me they don't do those things in Omaha. Anyways, if I die ya'll know WHY and can sue BK for me K? Moving on again sorry. Then we go to the best place on earth (after Disneyland, Disneyworld, and the Cheesecake Factory) Fun Plex!!! So we stayed about 3 1/2 hours, it wasn't packed due to kids going back to school (and at the DMV), wasn't to cold or to hot it was so much fun! Despite my hubby burning the bottom of his feet on the side walks going to the lazy river :( I feel so bad! So I am taking extra care of his tootsies and putting cream and band aids on them and making sure he laid down all night and stuff. My poor Boo. Anywho I survived the water slides (2 times, it's major for somebody deathly afraid of water getting on her face, and can drown in a sink seriously), went around the lazy river like 17 times, and hung out in the wave pool! So so awesome I love you Honey thanks for putting up w/ me and all my Birthday demands! It was a totally awesome day! So we went home and showered and I got showered with more presents! My Honey got me a super cute new watch, the most amazing perfume ever, and a car charger for our cell phones! YAY! Oh and this is on top of my Digital Camera I got a few months ago, and a HUGE gorgeous Clock for our new house! Then I picked up Chinese food (love me some crab rangoon yum!), watched Only You, seriously the best movie ever! And laid around! The alarm went off 4 hours earlier this morning then it normally does I swear so I decided it best to skip a shower (remember where I just said I showered last night after swimming, jeesh you gross ppl), and laid in bed some more and here I am back in the hell hole of work! Haha YAY! So thanks to all my most amazing friends for all the online comments, phone calls/voice mails, text messages, and cards. I love you all so dearly. Thanks for making my Birthday special! :)

Tribute to Brother Andy

*OK settle in to your most favorite comfty computer chair (or if you really really feel like pulling your "easy chair" up to the computer desk by all means go ahead. OK now we could get into laptops so I'll stop here and just say get comfty!) grab some wine (McMommy!) or pop and some popcorn and read some updates that have occurred the last couple days!

So without trying to get to sentimental on you I'll blog about one of my favorite subjects; My family. My brother decided to keep getting older as much as it kills his big sis and have a birthday on Sunday. He is a whopping :gasp: 23 which sadly makes me even older then I feel! I will always think of him as my "little" brother even tho he stands well over a foot taller then me. Oh how I wish I had pictures on my computer of him when he was little. He was quite possibly the worlds cutest kid EVER. I can only hope if I have a little boy he would turn out 1/2 as cute as Brother Andy was. (of course he is STILL cute just in a different way. haha OK that could be gross we're not from Arkansas or anything.......) So here is my best attempt to reflect on the day Brother Andy was born. This is from my very own memory and seeing as how I was 3 days away from being 3 years old I'm sure not a lot of it is accurate but I've asked my Dad and he says I am pretty much on :) (make fun of me now Sister Natalie but I do have the worlds best memory. Ha j/k love you!)

So Andy was born on August 10th and like I said my Birthday is on the 13th so I got a brother for my 3rd birthday. Now if I was any older this would have upset me in thinks that he stole my thunder but oh no it meant Grandma was coming to visit. Yes the "good Grandma". The Grandma that always had coloring books and crayons waiting for us in our room when we came to visit, the one that didn't count when she washed dishes, or hang foil to dry after washing it. Knowing full well a Grandma didn't come empty handed, me and Sister Natalie were quite excited about this. Now mind you it was 1985 so nobody flew back then they either took the bus or train. Now I can't remember but I think Grandma took the train. I have lived in Omaha all 26 years of my existence and I can't say I have any clue where the train station was/is. Neither did my Dad. Now my Dad is a funny fellow (for more then 1 reason I LOVE him), he is one of those men that refuse to get directions. But if defeated he will if he HAS to. But he will only stop at gas stations and will only buy things so he can ask. I being the retarded child I am also had to visit every single bathroom in the town (I can tell you where almost every bathroom is in restaurants and all malls in this city tho. Just look me up and ask if you ever visit the Big O and are in need of a bathroom) so we are lost, really really lost. For at least an hour walking around downtown Omaha. Scary. So we stop at at least 7 gas stations, I visit the restroom in every one cuz God Bless him Dad took me to every bathroom to make sure I didn't potty on myself or something else horrible. (Mom never did this, I was told to hold it) So by the time we find Grandma and the train station (or was it the bus station? I digress) we have the best loot in the whole town. Cheetos, dorotios, those nasty marshmallow puff cakes, some colored pop I'm sure, skittles, oh you name it we had such a gas station feast. Because of course Dad bought us something every time we needed directions. It was amazing. So we grab Grandma and head home. The next day Dad took us (me and sister Natalie) up to the hospital before Mom and Brother got discharged. Now remember this was BACK in the day so everybody had to scrub and put gowns on to even enter a hospital room. The gowns of course are way to big for my little body and had to be tied like 7 times in the back to stay on. Dad asks me numerous times if I have to go potty. Seriously I think he asked me like at least 5 or 6 times. I say no I was far to excited about seeing a baby, especially a baby I could obsess over at my own home! As soon as I get in the room I oo and ahh over my most gorgeous little brother, wanting to shove the paci in his mouth and hold him forever.........that is until I saw that there was a bathroom right in Mom's room! Well be still my heart a bathroom I have never visited! So despite the 6 times of Daddy asking me if I had to potty I made him untie my gown piddle piddle in the potty maybe 2 times and re-tie the gown all for that. But I did get to visit the potty right there in Mommy's hospital room.

Moral of the story;
Having a baby brother for your 3rd Birthday is amazing; you get to visit at least 8 new bathrooms in town and rot your teeth while Dad gets directions. Oh how I miss childhood!

What's in a name

So other then being bored at work (duh what else is new!) , I just had to put this story down somewhere so I could look back and remember. I'm sure I will get in trouble, but Honey I'm sorry it's far to funny to keep to myself! Please forgive me :)
So anybody that knows me IRL knows I am obsessed with names. But not like other people's names, but what I will someday name our children. Every time I hear a name I process it and think of wither or not I would name my child that. I have actually made a list (which is sacred until we are about ready to give birth and/or adopt), with first and middle names and all the meanings of those names. B/c yes I am one of those people that can't just pick a name b/c I like it or it sounds good it has to have a good strong meaning. Mostly the meaning has to be something religious or spiritual. For instance I love the name Olivia but it means Olive Tree. Huh? Dumb. Anyways this was just to give you some background on why we have these conversations even tho we are not pregnant or anywhere close to adopting a baby. Yes just b/c Becky is psycho and likes to talk about "what if" 24/7. Again Sorry Honey thanks for putting up w/ me!
So as you know our last name is Sessions. Very much limits names you can choose in my opinion. So to start when I started in my dept. at the bank a guy (whom I really detested) was saying that someday if I ever have a daughter I have to name her something funny like Marriage so her name would be Marriage Sessions (or something stupid along those lines) so we were talking and we came up with Thara (like Tara with a lisp or Sarah with a T). And her middle name would start with a P. So it could be like Thara Paige Sessions. She would be Thara P Sessions. Now say it out loud. Admit it people it makes you giggle. Of course I would never do that to a child but I find it highly entertaining!
So next on to; I was watching something on tv and these people had a baby Max. I love the name Max but Max Sessions?? A Max Session of what? See it's dumb. So I run to tell Steve and ask if he likes it, then about Trey, and some other random names I loved. He shoots them all down. So he proceeds to tell me HIS favorite boy name. Get ready for it..........Dominique. For a B O Y. Oh be still my heart I think I peed my pants laughing at that boy. (which did not go over well. Note to self if want hubby to play along and tell you things you want to hear do NOT laugh in his face. Laugh later when he is in a different room right? ;) Now growing up a child of the 90's (some 80's) I watched the Olympics and there were 2 female gymnasts who were awesome one year both named Dominique. But he wants to name our SON after Dominique Wilkins. I'm sure he is a great man, he was an amazing basketball player, and I'm happy my husband looks up to him. But I do NOT want my son growing up w/ a GIRL gymnastics name. Oh my maybe ya'll don't find this funny but I did. Even better was I asked him if a boy's name is Dominique what the girl version of the name was. (cuz in my mind Dominic is a boy and Dominique is a girl but what do I know!) And he tried to convince me that the girl version was Dominiqua. LMAO oh my I lost it then for sure. I'm not stupid............
So fast forward a couple months and one night I am making dinner and Steve quickly comes in the kitchen from the spare bedroom/computer room (if you know him at all you know running or quickly moving at all for him is QUITE a feet. I thought he had chopped off a finger or found the cure for cancer), and goes "I know I thought of a boys name I love, Seth"! Well oh my heavens I love the name Seth! So cute. I think of a cute boy w/ brown hair, maybe glasses, smart, and very respectful of women. See when your totally abnormal like me these are things you think of. I always have a face to go w/ a name. Anywho so then I said it together. Seth Sessions. Say it. Say it again fast. Eth (with a VERY bad lisp) Essions. Oh my I about died laughing. So we could have 2 children Thara P and Seth Sessions.

Update from Omaha

Well, it has been a while, so I thought I would send a quick update. Becky has covered most of the move and resent happenings. I guess that leaves me with work updates. About 45 days ago a new Lead Procurement officer was hired. His main goal is to make the company spend more centralized and come though our department, in effort to save the bank money. A lot has to happen before we can take on all the company send. There will be a lot of position changes and hiring of more people in the next year or two. I accepted a new Position of Process and Reporting expert. In the next month I should be transferring over my current responsibilities and diving into my new ones. I am looking forward to something totally different then "buying." And yet, still staying in the same department.

On a side note, my comute is cut in half now, about 20mins. It is sure nice! It will be nice to have our new house just as close, if not closer.

Week of highlights

What a crazy whirl wind week (lots of W words, awesome!) it has been! Last Friday at this time we were trying to shove every last content of our home in a 8X12 box (POD) some how and with lots of family help we succeeded! Yay for family I <3 family!!

• Bitter sweet cleaning out Steve's house (I was never on the mortgage so technically it was never really MY house although the state of Nebraska says it is due to the marriage laws).
• Going through all the rooms one by one and thinking of all the fun and trying times we had there the last 3 years!
  
• Mowing the yard for the VERY last time until next spring/summer. Yesssssss
  
• Getting a nice check from the title co and building up our savings for a couple months! Double yes
  
• The greatest thing of all time, telling the ex wife (much to nicely imho) she is no longer attached to the mortgage and we can be rid of her forever and ever and all the days! Triple YESSSSSSSSS times 392408390482394012738
  
• Getting all settled in our new "pad" (what we call our living quarters at the in laws)
  
• Sleeping better then ever before due to living in the woods (literally) and plantation shutters. Praise the Lord for plantation shutters! (I will take a picture of our new "pad" soon)
  
• Having a wonderful proactive DR that can help us along w/ our TTC journey
  
• Floggers (Friends that are bloggers for all you NON bloggy friends out there) that are also TTCing and can help answer my questions and know what we're going through!
  
• Having a Hubby that will take me out on a date to The Cheesecake Factory b/c I am psycho and have cheesecake cravings about once a week. And had plans to go out w/ a girlfriend and after she had to cancel he stepped up to the plate. LOVE LOVE LOVE a good man that will feed me cheesecake!
  
• Getting somewhat decent for said date to cheesecake. Make up and a straighter go a longggggggg way!
  
• Finding your huge bag of nail polish after looking for 3 days and in like 8 boxes. Woohoo
  
• Watching your hubby play in the pool with his niece and nephew and being so loving and careful with them
• Watching Hubby go down water slides at the pool and almost kill himself. Fun times!
  
• Getting FREE make over at Sephora. Nuff said
  

OK I'll be done now. This has been a very full week with lots of fun memories, the first week being out of our own house! I have new pictures of our dirt plot if anybody cares to see them! Love to all!

An oldie but a goody

So I was cleaning off my myspace blog page and I came across this old one. I wrote it when I was a Nanny 2 jobs ago :( Miss that job NOT the family. Ha. Anywho edited it a little b/c of certin content (email me for ? on that if you wish) So anyways ode to Becky and her beef stew expierances:
**Side note #1- for refrences purposes this was written last March before we were married.

So as everybody knows I am a pretty domestic person. I am a full time nanny, meaning I have to care and clean up after 3 kids, 40+ hours a week. I clean the house, cook the meals, and wipe snotty noses (among wiping other things!). I love to clean, be organized, and cook and bake. I told Steve one day I am a horrible Fiancée I need to learn to cook better. I totally go for boxed things or even better frozen skillet things that you just brown on the stove top. But I can't like make a lasagna from scratch or anything. Of course he reassured me he LOVES my cooking and even brags to his co-workers about it! So I decided I was going to make him home-made-from-scratch beef stew. One of his favorite meals of all time. With dumplings even. So I go and I print the recipe off Betty crocker's website, go to the store and buy the special meet, bay leaves, carrots, stewed tomatoes, and red potatoes. Little did I know I needed to buy a pan. So I decide I am gonna make it one night, put it in the fridge over night, reheat it the next night and make the dumplings (it took 3 1/2 hours to bake so dinner wouldn't have been ready until after 9). Sounds good right? I start reading the recipe and it says to put it in a "dutch oven" wtf? Clearly something I did not own. (I had to ALSO look THAT up online and it's a big cast iron pot. I registered for one on Target! lol) So I decided I would use my handy dandy pasta pot cuz it looked similar to the picture of this "dutch oven" I saw on google. Of course it's me though and I did NOT pay attention to the fact that the lid had a plastic handle. Oops. The pot was in the oven at 325 degrees for 2 hours. I tried to open it to stir it and the pot holder melted to the lid. Oops! So I am cracking up and frantically call my Mom (who says I am retarded. Well she raised me!) and she said to take the lid off and put foil on it. So I did much better. So the lid is cooling and the stew is still cooking. So I decide I don't want to put it in the fridge w/ just foil (cuz God love him but knowing Steven he would SET something on top of the foil and it would end up in the stew. Seriously it would happen) on so I put the lid back on. NOT a smart idea Becky. Since it's a pasta pot it has a strainer in the lid (little holes) so you can dump the pot upside down over the sink and drain the water out of your spaghetti. It works GREAT for Spaghetti but not so great for beef stew in the oven for 3 1/2 hours. :( So since it's a strainer it has to lock in place. So I put it in the fridge w/ the handle melted lid and lock it. The next day I take it out to heat it on the stove top and make the dumplings. I can NOT get the lid off. The melted handle got to cold in the fridge and shrunk and fell off the top. So I have to jack it off with a fork in the strainer holes. Classic huh? Meanwhile I am trying to use my new MP3 player which I do NOT know how to use. Put the 2 together and you get me throwing silver wear across the kitchen stomping my foot like the 2 1/2 year old kid I nanny for saying f bombs every 2 seconds. LOL. It was quite amazing. So I get the lid off and go to heat it up. I end up burning the bottom of the stew so it smells like road kill on fire in our house. Lovely! The dumplings turned out awesome which was like the only thing edible at this point. Haha. So yeah then when I am trying to get out what parts of it I can to save for Steve and I come across a SCREW. Yes a SCREW was cooked in my beef stew. How amazing is that?? So yeah I guess it's canned beef stew for us for awhile :(
P.S The whole entire pot including the lid AND the seperate handle ended up in the trash. Now I have to registered for a fancy new pasta pot too! :(


***Side note #2- So since then I have attempted home-made-from-scratch-beef stew a couple times. The first couple times did not turn out much better then that one. One other time I decided I should make it in the crock pot. So I put everything together and then I didn't want it to cook to long so I waited until the last possible minute to turn it on before I walked out of the house for work, yeah forgot to turn it on. Oops. That rotten meat that sat there smelled good let me tell you. But I must admit I have made it and it did turn out amazing and the Hubby loved it. And they lived happily ever after!

Ponderings............

Some things I wonder about;

Why is it that when your enjoying your jello for lunch you notice that the orange flavor does not stick to the sides and bottom of the plastic container like all the other flavors? I have noticed Cherry, Strawberry, Green Apple, they all stick but orange comes out clean as a whistle!! Disturbing............

No matter how many times I attempt to write and spell check the following words I can not ever get them right for the life of me;
absolutely
obvilsely
defiently
I know there are more I just can't think of them now (will add later if I come up w/ them). Seriously I suck as a speller. Most times I do it soooooo bad spell check can't even fix it :( Makes me sad.......(and as much as it hurts me I will not spell check them just so ya'll can know just how BAD of a speller I really am :*( even tho it kills me..........)


Why do people call somewhere just to listen to a poor poor girl go through her whole entire spheel she was told to say at work to answer the phone only to slam the phone down in her ear???

Why do I cry when people win contests on the radio? Seriously can somebody please tell me............

Real quick......

Just wanted to put out a request just in case somebody actually does read this! My Grandma just came down with shingles. She just got over a very very bad form of leukemia last year (why she was unable to attend our wedding) so this is not good. I'm pretty sure it's due to a lot of family stress going on w/ some family she lives close to but that is only my speculation. So please please pray for my Grandma she is such a portrait of God's love and grace and I really don't want it to be her time to go be w/ him yet! I need her here a little longer! Thanks so much everybody!

Fun on da 4th!

So we had a really great 4th weekend! It was so great it fell on a Friday and we had a whole 3 days to relax and not think about work! Friday (on the 4th), we laid around during the day and got ready for the BBQ at my parents house. We got to my parents around 4ish, of course Mom and Dad and Brother Andy were already there, and Nat and Brian were there to! Shortly after we got there Steve's parents showed up. I hated the thought of them sitting at home alone on a Holiday. How depressing! And then my Dad's sister (Aunt Ruth) and her husband (Uncle Jim) came to! What a full house! We had a great feast. Everybody brought their own meat and threw it on the grill, I brought fruit salad, Nat brought a grape/walnut salad (Ahamazing. Gotta love Paula Dean and cream cheese!), Sheri brought veggies and dip, chips and salsa, and potato salad! A. Ruth brought a jello cake thing (decorated all cute like a flag!), and Mom made beans, and corn casserole. YUM! Then for desert we made homemade ice cream (Cramer tradition every 4th!) and we had Mom's famous cherry and peach pie. Oh be still my heart! I feel fat just thinking about all the yumminess I ate that day! So pretty soon after desert we (when I say we I mean Andy, Steve, and Nat) started to blow things up with fire works. Love parachutes! Here are some highlights of the evening

A big semi truck remote control car that Andy bought (at Bag n Save mind you) that he wanted to blow up. Didn't work out, we will save it for next year which is very exciting for me cuz I love to drive it around!

Steven being cheesy for the camera and showing off the pen that doubles as a race car from a kids meal we got at Arby's in like 1992 (actually I am pretty sure it said 1992 or 1994 on the bottom of the car. Andy checked). Awesome. It got a lot black and lost a wheel. RIP Arby Car/PenHe thought it would be fun to stick 239018293 black cats and other explosive stuff in a water bottle and blow it up. It was funny until the burnt plastic smell hit us. I almost puked.

Not sure if you can see it but Steve lit a smoke ball and it went off and then continued to smoke for seriously like 30 minutes. It was so funny. We kept calling it the never ending smoke bomb!

My most favorite part of the night is spending the whole entire day and night w/ my Lovey. I just love Holiday's being with our families, and being a wife! LOVE IT!

So after sleeping in we laid around some more on Saturday. Actually we almost completely cleaned our house out and Steve's Mom came and packed up her SUV and took everything to her house where we un-loaded it! We are empty! I kept all my decorations and pictures out b/c we are having some friends and their little boy over Saturday night and I don't want the house to look empty and yucky! So it still feels like home, but you open a closet door and everything is empty. We still have some clothes, some dishes, and a couple towels and that is about it! Oh and of COURSE my cleaning supplies as I will be psycho cleaner the weekend we move out! Ha. Then Saturday night we had tickets to go see the AA Division of the Kansas City Royals team that play here in Omaha. You can get super cheap tickets for the Omaha Royals cuz it's pretty much a joke and nobody goes to the games. But I still think it's fun and love the Atmosphere. I love to people watch! Unfortunately Steve was SUPER sick (still is :( I think the poor Baby has a sinus infection) and had to stay home. Well, he missed the game of the century. We were entertained by this

These weird girls who IMHO (in my humble opinion) should not have been wearing shorts OR the hideous socks, and had NO team spirit.

This boy who decided to down a 40 Oz beer before going out on the field to play "dizzy bat game" (you spin for like 10 minutes with your head on a bat around and around on the ground and then have to run in a huge circle. Needless to say you can see what happened when he got done spinning and was supposed to be running). Oh my to to funny.
And unfortunately I did NOT get a picture of our best friend from the evening. Due to mostly that every time he did some picture worthy I was laughing so hard I was either crying or about to pee my pants at the same time. The guy was about 50's and so drunk before the game even started. Oh my. All I'll say is honestly you had to be there. It was quite entertaining. I'm sure he was from Council Tucky (Council Bluffs IA.) as we will NOT claim him as our own in Omaha. Very embarrassing but very enjoyable to watch. I'm sure he is still sleeping it off somewhere 4 days later.................

A huge inflatable duck outside the stadium it's supposed to look like Andy is squeaking it but it didn't quite turn out w/ the effect I was going for. But this picture took us like 10 minutes to set up and take so it's blog worthy :)

So the game you ask? No idea we were to busy eating our funnel cakes and laughing at the Crazies! I know the Royals lost, but not much more then that. Oh $5 for all that entertainment! lol (actually mine cost $10 since Steve skipped. poop) Then there were amazing fireworks, we went home and passed out! A great night was had by all and we spent most of Sunday laying around watching Lifetime movies (me not Steve. He did manly things like hammer nails and such. Haha not really more like played video games all day!) and sleeping. So lovely! The last relaxing weekend we'll have for awhile b/c we have 2 weekends left in our house! Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

OCD????

I'm on a blog roll so I'll continue!

Here is what is entailed when a slightly OCD, total type A personality, perfectionist, tries to sell and show their house. (some but not all things are done on a daily biases. A sign in your yard you never know who is going to show up on a moments notice)

-Get rid of the 2 ugly nasty blankets we use to sleep with and cover the whole bed with a comforter. EVERY morning. Then before bed fold it up and shove it in a closet and re-make the bed with the 2 ugly blankets. EVERY NIGHT.

-Try to do as little laundry as possible b/c bras and your ugly Husker shorts hanging in the laundry room drying is NOT a selling feature.

-Empty all the trash in the house so nothing smells like any sort of food as EVER been eaten in your house EVER.

-Mow the grass at least 2 times a week. Won't it ever stop raining in Omaha so our grass will stop growing? Who would ask for such a thing???

-Clean 2 bathrooms top to bottom, ESPECIALLY after one has already been "cleaned" by Wonderful Hubby

-Vacuum every square inch of house. Yes that includes all closets, and especially the vinyl floor where there is no carpet. Vacuum lines are the most beautiful things a carpet could have on them and I am addicted to them.

-Vacuum all 16 (yes I count I am weird have you noticed yet?) stairs so they all have those amazing carpet lines as said above

-shove about 12 dishes to many in the dish washer. Who cares if they get clean they will NOT sit on the counter/sink that is nasty. Run said dish washer so at least if they open it all the food is washed off the dishes and they don't see dirty dishes

-Ban your husband from using any sink other then the last one left to be cleaned. If he does touch it or turn on any water in a sink other then said sink chase him around and pretend like your going to beat him

-Find every single speck of dirt or paint that does not belong and scrub it until you have no finger nails left. AT ALL

OK I think this is most of my cleaning list! As you can tell God spared me (and my wonderful amazing Hubby) from my neurotic psychoticness and sold our house to the first people that saw it! OR maybe just maybe it was my psycho cleaning that sold the house??? I really would like to ask them..................

Movin along quickly.........

So Steve has been insanely busy at work lately and I thank GOODNESS (after lots of prayers on whither or not to find a new job. Seriously) got internet usage back at work so your stuck with me blogging for a little while! Hopefully Steve will be un-busy at work soon though, I sure miss his emails :( Anyways! We're about 991/2% sure we sold the house. The "buyers" did the Home Inspection Monday and also had a Radon Test (do NOT ask me about this, very touchy subject) done which got picked up yesterday and the results were low! A high reading and we would have had to spend about $800-$1000 to have a filter put in our house. Praise God! I guess the inspection came back with very minor things, some exposed wire in an unfinished storage (duh), and some drywall repair stuff. Nothing major so as far as we know they don't want anything fixed!!! We're just waiting to hear from our realtor sometime today that everything is a go. This is amazing and our realtor said this is a first time she has sold a house so quickly, to the first and ONLY person to see it, and still ask for not 1 thing to be fixed on an inspection report. I think somebody is on our side ;)
So on TOP of all the stress of a home inspection and wondering what will be found and stuff, Friday right before leaving work there were 90-110 mile an hour winds whipping through Omaha. Not a Tornado (as in no funnel clouds), just extremely high winds. Luckily I got put on lock down at work (the roof was blowing off our building), and I called Steve and made him pull off the road! He found a church and took shelter with a VERY nice family. My normal 10-15 minute drive home took over 30 minutes due to almost every traffic light either being out (still lots in Omaha have no power!) or dangling from strings almost to the pavement! Made for an exciting ride. I sat for so long in one spot in my car I was clicking pictures of down trees with my cell phone. lol. So I am scared to death of what I will find when I get home. I swear an Angel or something put a bubble over our house as it was almost untouched. 4 or 5 neighbors to the left of our house lost their fences, ours is still standing. The neighborhood across the main street from us almost everybody lost shingles from their roof (so did walmart), ours is untouched. Kinda eerie! We lost the screen from our bedroom window is all the damage we had, a trip to lowes for supplies of like $10 and 5 minutes of Becky sitting on the floor (Steve is so handy lol ;) ) and everything was fixed! We are so blessed! So needless to say we were scared of what we would find on the inspection after that, and still not a thing! God answers prayer! Hopefully we are done with storm season in Omaha, I am sick of hearing Tornado sirens! A lady at work said every single time a rain drop comes down her Grandson asks his Mom if they have to go to the basement. lol seems almost true!
So we will be packing up and moving in less then 3 weeks, assuming the SOLD sign goes in our yard today! How exciting! I feel such a load taken off my shoulders now. It's been such a journey and honestly we never ever thought we would sell, build, everything in such a short amount of time and be this blessed! I am so excited to embark on this journey with Steve and our families help, and start OUR lives together in a gorgeous home we built TOGETHER! Good News!

After only 3 weeks, 1 open house (which only had 1 couple come through in less then 30 seconds scoped our house and ran out. I'm thinking it was neighbors), and 1 showing we sold our house! Of course provided we make it through the inspections and their financing goes through. It's very very exciting though! They are being very reasonable and offered exactly what we wanted, we don't have to pull their full closing costs (VERY pricy in Nebraska with all our stupid taxes), and so far only 1 minor repair. One of our windows has a crack in the seal and although I don't have any idea what it entails to fix it I don't think it will be a big deal. So here is the kicker, we have to be out in like 4 weeks! AHHHHHHHHHHH! So we're going to live with Steve's parents for the next couple months until our house is built, which I am very grateful for as we will save thousands of dollars on rent! So everything is falling into place and I can finally get excited and relax about the new house and start decorating (in my head). Oh the choices! Shower curtains, paint colors, furniture placement, land scaping, it's all so exciting! Thanks for all your prayers :)

Boston Celtics are the NBA Champs

Even though I predicted LA to win, I am happy Boston one it. It came down to two things, Pierce outplayed Kobe, and desire. Boston wanted it more then LA. It was evident in the defence and rebounding the most.

I am glad 3 great players [KG, Pierce, Allen] that had played so well for so long on bad teams, were able to come together and win it. I have been a Paul Pierce/KG fan for a while. I like players who have the complete package and fill up the stat sheet with Points, boards, and assists. Pierce raised his game this year and added great defence. [He was more able because he didn't have to carry the whole load on the offencive end] Boston had a great reagular season and continued it all they way to the ring.

Detials

So just a quick update on the new house! We're pretty excited it's a brand new neighborhood only like 12 houses are being built right now! Don't change our address or start sending mail there yet, the house will be completed sometime between the 1st and the 3rd week in December. We'll know exact dates once it gets closer and is about a month from being finished! We are soooooooo excited! Tonight we go to meet w/ the mortgage broker and finalize all of our choices. We get to make sure the carpet/vinyl/cabinets/outside paint and door colors all match and will look good together. I am pretty excited! It makes me more and more anxious for the house to be done and built already but it will be super nice because that means after this week we are all done with appointments! It will be soooooooo nice to not have to rush to appointments right after work and have our weekends crammed with house stuff!! We can relax a little and get back to church and hanging out w/ friends more. Yay!

Sorry that is a long link but I don't know how else to do it on here!! hehe. Isn't it cute? Don't you just HAVE to buy it? (PLEASE?) haha. We haven't had any showing yet, it's only been on the market like 3 days but hopefully we'll get some interest this week! So we went to the model house w/ Rick and Sheri this weekend and of course we got to take some pictures of me and Steve inside the house. (*NOTE remember this is the model home and will not look like this one inside at ALL like our house once it's done but it gives you an idea of layout and such!*)

This is the exact outside of our house though. I am excited about the cute little porch and my whole life I have always been in love w/ pillars on the front of houses! And we really love the color. Of course we will have a drive way and not bushes in front of the garage ;)

This is the master bedroom, I am so excited for the huge windows, closet space to die for, and how great our new furniture will look in here! Yay! Here is me in the basement looking sooooooooo attractive as usual. Oh I am so photogenic! (NOT) Haha. We are opting to leave the basement unfinished (which Steve is most excited about) so it will be a big concrete slab! It will be great to have so much storage and I am already trying to decided wither I should buy in bulk from Costco or Sams ;)

Busy Bees

So of course Steve stole the show and posted about the house. Ha. We are busy busy busy the next couple weeks getting everything ready. I like this stage, I must be busy at all times and keep everything moving and in control. God is already trying to teach me patience, I still am not grasping this. Tonight we go to formally reserve our lot (aka give them $), and then our realtor is coming over so we can legally have our house on the market and decide on a asking price for it. And then (be still my heart) it will be put online for every one in the world to see! (I will post a link as soon as it's up!) I don't know why this excites me but it does. I have spent most of my adult life obsessed with looking at other peoples houses online and on tv shows. If I could only come up w/ a job where I go through houses for a living, yet I could never be a realtor and sell them! Anyways I'm getting off track. Saturday we are taking Steve's parents through the model home and then we are going to make our final selections. I decided that if the job doesn't exists for me to look at other peoples houses then I should be hired to design and put everything together to build their house. Is that a designer? I don't want to pick out furniture and paint and fabric just carpet, wood floor, cabinets I am good at this stuff. (more then anything I am good at spending $ and especially if it's not mine!) So exciting! It's been a very stressful and a very time consuming process. And although me and Steve make excellent choices together we always tend to surround ourselves with amazing educated people that help us in that decision process. Because of the company we are building through we are pretty much shoved into working with their people so we save the most $ and time. That is scary for us. I only like things and people that are familiar to me. Sad enough that means my friend Jen (see previous post) is not able to sell our house, and my other good friend Sandi can not process our mortgage :( BUT after a couple days of prayer and lots of late night talks we decided we had to do it their way. So we started meeting w/ the appropriate people and thank the Lord I love them all!!! Shellie our realtor is super sweet and bubbly and an awesome people person, I would buy any house from her she is so nice and fun to talk to! Megan our lady at the new neighborhood is amazing. Spending hours going over layouts, lots, stupid silly endless questions and always being super sweet and doing it with a smile. Mike our mortgage broker, he was so easy to talk to and totally un pushy and understanding with everything! We have been blessed, me and Steve joked today that you would think after all of our endless annoying questions they would just give us the home for free so we will leave them alone! lol no such luck. These people have treated us like their friends and have been so amazing. We have been blessed to have God put them in these situations and make the process a whole heck of a lot easier!
I know I have already done my fair share of mushy blogs about my great hubby but I will say it again, going through all this has been amazing. We agree on everything and when I am tired and wanting to give up on this whole thing he is so strong to hold me and rub my back and let me whine to him. I've had lots of couples before tell me their marriage could never handle building a house together, but ours has just gotten stronger! I love you Bubbie and I can't wait until December when we will finally have our very own house TOGETHER that is OURS! :)

We bought a house!!

We bought a house yesterday! Well, we reserved a lot and the house will be done in Dec! It will sure be nice to have a fun basement for the long NE winters.

We picked Lot 177. It backs up to a commons ground and a park over a hill. So we will not have any houses behind us. Linkbelow is a pic of the model house. Ours will be almost the exact same. Same elevation[style], and colors. We opted for the driveway instead of the bushes. JK:)

Very close to the start line

We are very close to finishing all the decisions, so we can start building our new house. We have gone to the home gallery selection store twice, and will need to go back 1 or 2 more times. It was fairly easy. They give you a lap top and you go around to all the different areas of the store. Each area has different options. There are a lot of options and it takes time.

We are hoping to finish the details with the realtor and select a lot tonight. We have two good options, lot 177 that would be done in Dec. And lot 150 that would be done in March. Exciting times!!

NBA Finals

Bos Vs LAL… What a good finals. Boston has had a harder road even with weaker opponents. Ray Allen is finally shooting better, so it will be a more interesting series. Also Boston having home court helps them a little too. In the end, I think LA bench will be too much for Boston. My guess is LA in 6.


Time for Dumars to pull off some more good trades, including Wallace, and have the Pistons back next year.


How good will the Bulls be, who will they pick with the number 1 draft pick? [Lots of signings, and trading in store]
