30 days of Thankfulness

So being pregnant with my 2nd blessing, is just that a HUGE blessing. But sometimes (like everyday)I forget and just focus on the uncomfortableness of pregnancy, having a Husband who is very limited to what he can do to help around the house, and chasing a toddler I feel like all I ever do is complain!! So I joined a couple friends on facebook to write 1 thing we are thankful for everyday in November. It's WAY easy for me to come up with something to be thankful for everyday and honestly I should just do it everyday of the year! Instead of blogging one everyday and falling behind I am just posting the whole darn month's worth at once :) Your welcome!

Day #1 of 30 days of thankfulness; Today I am super duper grateful and happy for our gorgeous 70 degree weather!!! Flip flops on November 1st is amazing! I wish this was the worst our winters got ;)

Day #2 of 30 days of Thankfulness- soooo grateful for this little baby growing inside of me. Haven't met her but I am so crazy in love w/ her and glad she is "perfect" and healthy!! Had such a perfect pregnancy I keep waiting for the "shoe to drop", but can't wait to meet her and love her!

Day 3 in the 30 days of thankful; today (and everyday!) I am most especially thankful for my amazing girl/Mommy friends God has blessed me with! So wonderful to have sweet friends with sweet friends that Hailey loves to play with and we can sit and chat and just get each other! So helpful and the reason I have my sanity ♥

Day 4 of 30 days of Thankfulness; Today I am soooo thankful for my amazing family. They are always there in the drop of a hat when I need them, and love and spoil Hay like CRAZY! She loves them so much too! So blessed to have my Mom and Sister has 2 of my best friends!!!

30 days of Thankful day 5; sooo thankful for all the non-medical people God has put in our lives and the knowledge he has given them. Between our Chiropractor, Holistic Dr, and Midwive we are so much more healthy then we have ever been and I am so grateful!

30 days of Thankful day 6; after having the worst I truly know that I have the BEST man in the world for me. I am soooooo appreciative of how hard he works for his lil family and takes care of us. He is the BEST Daddy in the world and his girls are sooo lucky. He treats me like a Queen and knows my heart and doesn't think I'm crazy ;) Love you

30 days of Thankfulness day 7; Thankful for our health! Even though I have a little cold/sinus junk right now we are soooo healthy most of the time. We are so blessed to not have serious illness in either of our families and keep the medical bills down! :)

30 days of Thankful day 8: sooo thankful for my warm house, electricity to have heat, and all our yummy food we are blessed with! I know not everybody has all these luxuries I do and I need to be more grateful!

30 days of Thankful day 9; sooo thankful for my sweet first born. She drives me crazy everyday and I am never patient enough, but she also makes me laugh every.single.day no matter what. She made me a Momma and we are just walking down this road together learning as we go. I love her more then she will ever know!

30 days of Thankful day 10; might sound silly but I am soooo thankful to God for giving us delicious fruit! Most especially when I am pregnant I loooove fruit. Especially my nightly oranges ;) It's the little things in life!

30 days of Thankful day 11; so very very thankful for all our veterans for serving and keeping our country safe, free, and amazing. I don't think I could ever live anywhere else, and it's because of them! I am a spoiled American! Special thanks to my Grandpa's, Steve's Grandpa's, my Dad, neighbor, cousin, and many friends I owe them so much!!

30 days of Thankful day 12: so thankful for my country and state I live in. I am PROUD to be a spoil American and even more proud to be a Husker! Will always defend my state, town, and country. We are so lucky and blessed to live where we do! GO BIG RED!

30 days of Thankfulness day 13; so thankful for our small group and church. It's such a great place to learn and grow, and I love how they love Hailey in her sunday school, and excited for next fall when she can go to Awana's. If your looking for an awesome welcoming church in Omaha please ask me!

30 days of Thankfulness day 14; MUSIC!!! Music is seriously my life and I LOVE it. We have my mp3 running 24/7, usually KLove but I love all types!! Honestly the way to my heart is through music. You can laugh at me but one of the reasons I feel in love w/ Steve was he was a male version of me when it came to music. (he listened to Wilson Phillips! Ha he will hate me now!) :) It makes me happy and is my #1 way to worship

30 days of Thankful day 15; so thankful for my Hubby's job. It is such a blessing and answer to prayer. They are sooooo flexible and Family oriented! I'm so grateful for the friendships he has made, and that he doesn't dread/hate going to work or bring work home with him!

30 days of Thankful day 16: is just keeping it real y'all it's one of "those" days and I am thankful pregnancy is only 40 weeks and not longer. I can't do this much longer then 7 more weeks!

30 days of Thankfulness day 17; Our amazing Zoo in Omaha! (and FUN friends who go with you!) So fun to see the animals through Hailey's eyes, and I almost always learn something new about God's amazing creations every time we go. Such a fun time! Also grateful that my Hubby lets met indulge and buy a membership so we can visit often, he knows my heart and how much I love it there :)

30 days of Thankfulness day 18; so thankful that I love in the same city as my family/Steve's family. I LOVE that Hailey knows and LOVES her Grandparents so much (um can you say SPOILED??), and her Aunts and Uncles. She just lights up when she is with them and Momma and Daddy do not exist! We are so blessed and I hope we never have to move away, I don't know what I would do w/out them and all their help! But we do miss our extended Family and if I had to I think I could survive in Michigan ;)

30 days of Thankfulness day 19; thankful for my daughters kind and sweet helpful heart. She really tries to please Mommy (and Daddy) and LOVES to be "Momma's helper" it's so sweet and I hope and pray she always stays this way. (oh and that Little Sister also gets this trait where ever it came from ;)

30 days of Thankfulness day 20: for technology! I don't know WHAT I would do w/out email (talk on the phone?? UGH), facebook and other modern things we take for granted. Especially my dishwasher! I am so spoiled ;)
30 days of Thankfulness day 21; being able to go to walmart and stock my pantry/fridge FULL of food (more then we need!). I know not everybody is able to do this, and I complain about how much I spend and all that. I am grateful!
30 days of Thankfulness day 22; so thankful for my HOT showers! Such an indulgence that isn't good for me, but I LOVE them and so happy to have hot water in my warm house on this yucky cold day!
30 days of Thankfulness day 23; super thankful BOTH of my out-of-state best friends are here for the Holiday! Can't wait to see them and LOVE them both so much! Hope they know how important they are to me and I treasure their friendship. Especially Meg, for using almost ALLLLL your vacation time this year in Omaha to see me! LOVE YOU tons and bunches ♥
30 days of Thankfulness day 24; This is pretty much a given for every day for me, but I am most especially to God. He has given us this amazing country where we can have freedom and celebrate Thanksgiving. All my friends and family who I am so THANKFUL for, and all my blessings come from him!
30 days of Thankfulness day 25; thankful for weekends and fun family time! I LOVE Saturday and Sunday's when Hubby is home and is a HUGE help with Hailey and giving this tired Momma a break! Hailey is so lucky and LOVES playing w/ Daddy, he is SO much more fun then Momma and I'm OK with that ;)
30 days of Thankfulness day 26; thankful and excited for Christmas decorations! Especially this year and seeing it through Hailey's eyes. Teaching her about Baby Jesus and all the fun that comes along with it makes this Momma's heart so happy!!!!
30 days of Thankfulness day 27; thankful for my extra WARM house, comfty old sweatshirts, and slippers!!!
30 days of Thankfulness day 28; Is thankful for Matt. Matt works at the walmart we grocery shop at every Monday. He is older (30's?) and is a little mentally handicapped, he is the greater and Hailey has a love affair with Matt. If I could adopt him I would! He is soooo sweet and LOVES Hailey. Always giving her stickers and telling her to be Momma's good helper. It is so so sweet, and I'm pretty sure she blesses him and as much as he blesses us! Makes our shopping trip so much fun, and I love that randomly throughout the week Hailey asks to go to walmart and see Matt :)
30 days of Thankfulness day 29; thankful we are blessed by Steve's job so I can stay home with my precious girls! I could not EVER imagine sending them to daycare and not being there everyday to witness the hilarious things Hailey says/does, and all the milestones. I am excited to be able to stay home when #2 comes, not having a schedule and being able to come and go as we please! Don't know how you working Mom's do it, your amazing!
30 days of Thankfulness day 30; not that I would ever want to wish time away, especially with Hailey at such a fun age, but I'm thankful November is over and tomorrow is December 1st. The month I will get to meet our newest blessing!! I can't wait to hold her and see how similar/different she is then her sister. So glad I thought of 30 things to be thankful for, and could think of 1000's more, but I am most thankful for my God, my family, friends, my Hubby and 2 girls the most! ♥

Long ago...........

Oops it's been awhile and I have been meaning to post a "life update/move/new house pictures" post for like oh 4 weeks now. I've been lazy. I just read blogs but never want to write on my own! I have so many blog idea's jumbled in my head this post will probably be all over the place! I might start a new "series" to. I'll probably just type them up and post them later. They are some fun and interesting stories of things that have happened to me over the years. In case nobody could tell I LOVE to tell stories and share life experiences, as well as hearing others! So that is why I am in love w/ bloggy land so much. I read a story yesterday on this girl's blog about being kidnapped and having to jump out of the moving car and run into somebody's house to get saved! Oh my that is awesome! Nothing extraordinary has happened to me like that but I think my stories are full of character. See there I go off on some weird tangent again.....................

So on Friday Jan. 2nd me and Steve went to the Title Co. to sign our names 34923084 million times! It was quite funny earlier in the week we were getting SUPER antsy to close and move and be out of Steve's parents and in our OWN space. I got a call from the Mortgage co. and a girl was asking what Steve's middle initial was. For some reason they thought it was H, but it's M. How you get the 2 confused is beyond me. Well, when Steve signs his name he does it like a typical boy and scribbles an S and then another S and a line with some dots on it. Quite lovely. Well, the girl told me at closing he was going to have to sign an M on every paper. I knew he wouldn't be totally happy about this but whatever. So I sent him an email and all it said was "there is a problem and I talked to a girl from the Mort loan office, give me a call when you can" HA. He freaked! It was pretty funny. I heard about it for days :) So we close and get our keys and are soooooo excited! Steve got off work way early and met our families who started helping unload everything into the house! By the time I got there a LOT of stuff was unloaded from our P.O.D. (which if you ever need storage or are moving across country or anything these things are amazing and SO the way to go. A little more costly but much better then loading and un-loading a truck. They just bring it right to your driveway!) and cleared out most of Steve's parents house! Oh how I LOVE our families! We got some amazing pizza and pasta from a local place and chowed. I un-packed and put away my whole kitchen that night and we got the mattresses set up on the floor for sleeping! I didn't sleep well (no curtains made for an early morning) so I was up at 5 organizing closets and the bathroom. lol. Then I made a HUGE trip to walmart for food since we were out of everything and came home to more family and friends helping and more un-loading! It was such a blessing to have everybody come over and get so much done on Saturday. I wasn't allowed to carry any boxes or anything so I just ran around like crazy and tried to help where I could! Yet ANOTHER huge trip to walmart (we spent a LOT of $ at wally world that weekend) and some more organizing and we were totally and completely in and un-packed by about 2 pm on Sunday! I was even putting out some of my candles and decoration stuff! It was so amazing. I don't want to sound stuck up but honestly we are just organized people that HATE ciaos and clutter and couldn't stand looking at the boxes. We over did it and I almost died Sunday night but I took a bath and rested my feet and was much better by Monday :)

With out further ado here are some pictures of the house mostly completed!

Looking from the living room to the front door. (bedrooms and guest bathroom to your right). We have since hung up a picture on the right wall and it looks really nice!

Living room view from the hallway/front door area. Of course we bought a new couch last night so I will update pictures as soon as it comes in on the 28th! The kitchen is directly behind the sofa, this is our new TV area so we had to get a huge sectional so we can both be lazy and lay down and get comfty

View 1 of the Kitchen. Far left wall is the sliding glass doors, and the small door on the left is our food pantry which I LOVE! I LOVE this kitchen it's so huge and with the pantry I actually have empty cabinets! I'm sure Hailey will be able to fill them once she is here with all her stuff so I'm not to worried about it ;)
View 2 of the kitchen. Just love how open and bright it is! My fav room in the house!

Here is our master bedroom. I love how HUGE this room is. We have a tall dresser and a chair on the wall opposite of the bed. This is the only room with real fabric curtains, we have a lot more rooms to go!

Guest bathroom :)

Guest bedroom/computer room. It's all ready and set up for people to come stay with us! But only 1 at a time everybody else will have to sleep on the floor :( Sorry!

Bean's Nursery before painting. It was a catch all room but we cleared it all out. Even sold the tv!

Bean's room during painting! Steve painting this past Saturday he is such a hard worker. Seriously he is a WAY better painter then me. I just slap it on and get paint everywhere. He is so careful it's cute. We still have to do all the cutting in by the ceiling, the bottom a stark white and get a chair rail up! As soon as it's finished I'll post pictures and then will put some MORE up after her crib and changing table are in and set up. I'm getting excited!

So there is our LOVELY new house! We have already had a couple friends over for dinner and we are having my whole family over for my Mom's Birthday Brunch Saturday morning! We really love it and LOVE entertaining and would love to have you so c'mon over! :) I'm really excited and anxious to get Hailey's nursery all done and set up, have my shower, and get everything all put together and organized for her!
We have hung some more pictures and mirrors and stuff since we took those pictures, and have paint colors all picked out just need the $ to buy paint. The WHOLE huge living room, entry way, hallway to bedrooms, and area by the garage door/laundry room (it's the area behind the wall with the stove) and down the stairs will be a goldish mustard color. (which is HARD to find let me tell you) It will be a LOT of painting but I know it will look amazing when we're done!

The kitchen is going to be a moss green, the master bedroom and bath will be a tan, the guest bath and guest bedroom we still haven't totally decided but we're throwing around a couple of ideas. Painting is secondary to having a Baby so it might happen in the next couple weeks but probably not until this summer/fall or next spring. I hate the builders white walls but I can live with it for a while.
The only pictures I didn't get are of the laundry room, our master bath, and Steve's man cave in the basement. I'll get on it sometime though!

Pregnancy has been pretty boring and standard lately. I feel great, just a little tired and bloated. I feel stretched to my limits and huge but I know I am just going to get bigger!!! I am still have "plumbing" issues sorry TMI I know but if you could say a prayer for me it's really painful and I hate losing sleep over it. I know I need to sleep now before she is here!!!
While we're on the topic of prayer requests, we got an email sent out from the company that me and Steve work for saying they are laying off 350 jobs in the company. I know we are totally over staffed and the way this company does things is a little screwy and backwards sometimes but I am fully aware of how precious our paychecks are now! So far they have let about 50-75 people go from various dept. neither of which have been mine or Steve's. We'll see what happens, we're both fairly certain we're safe but if Steve would lose his job that would be huge. Normally I wouldn't be worried but in this market it's so hard to find a new job. I have been praying a LOT the last couple weeks and would LOVE if you would also! I will be praying for everybody and thier spouses as well, it's scary times we're in but I know God has a plan for us and will provide and take care of us and our needs :) This is hard for me I worry about $ and our bills and things a lot and I think God is trying to teach me a lesson that everything will be fine!

OK girlys (and if any boys are out there?) I will end this blabbel now. I feel a little more caught up I'll try to get better! I have my 28 week apt tomorrow and I'll update next week w/ how my glucose test goes. Loves!

Bean.......

Hailey,
It's been a long time since I wrote you last. I didn't mean for it to be this long in between "letters", I want to try to capture and journal every part of this pregnancy and remember it all as I know it will be over before I can blink. And then when you are here my world will totally revolve around you. But for now life is getting away from me to quickly and I have so many things going on!
You are now 26 weeks old. So crazy. You could be here anywhere from 11-14 weeks. That is so soon in many ways and to long for me to wait in others! I hope you stay in longer so you are perfectly healthy and fine and can come straight home with us. I hope Mommy has made a good home for you, and I hope your comfty and warm and want to stay in there and grow for a long time so your perfect for me and your Daddy! Mommy has gone through some WEIRD things the last couple months. LOTS of heartburn, a big scare last week which I almost ran into the ER because I was so so deathly scared something was wrong with you. (turns out it wasn't heartburn either, after lots of water, 2 apples, a magic pink laxative I got the "problem" out and I will do everything to avoid that pain again my whole life. LOL) I never knew I could love somebody so deeply and unconditionally like this Baby Girl. If something were to happen to you I don't want to look back and not remember cherishing my moments with you and loving you. I LOVE when you flop and move in me, no matter how un-comfortable it makes me or how I start to get annoyed I make myself stop because I know you are just trying to communicate with me and tell me HI and that your OK in there :)
You LOVE your Daddy more then any Baby in the womb I have ever heard of. Every single time he kisses my belly, talks to you, or puts his hand on you, you immediately stop whatever your doing and are so still. Once he stops you go at me again kicking and flopping away. Sometimes it makes Mommy upset because she doesn't have that effect on you, but secretly I LOVE it because I am in love w/ your Daddy just as much as you are and I think he is amazing and I guess you learned early that he is :) He is going to do anything and everything to provide you an amazing life and make sure you know you are loved. I can't wait to see him hold you and I know you 2 will love to take naps together and spend time bonding over NBA games :) Baby even if you don't please pretend for your Daddy that you love Basketball. Don't worry I'll teach you all the rules and how it's played! Ha.
We finally got to move into our house and your room is not ready at all. I am in panic mode. We need to get paint and get that started I know it will come along quickly I just want everything to look and be perfect for you. You also need a crib and a changing table and a million other little things! I know I have 3 months but just make sure to wait so your anal Mom can have everything clean, and folded and put in it's place OK? Thanks!
We love you more then words could say, I have loved this time to bond with you and for you to be my special girl. I love that you dance and jive to our praise music on the radio in the car, and that you always calm down after I say a prayer for you. God is watching over us and I know he is still holding you in his hands. Your a lucky girl and I hope to do everything possible to let you know how much you are loved and wanted! Mommy will try to get better about writing and telling you how special you are! I love you sweet Princess

I am getting huge! This was taken last night, please excuse the HORRIBLE double chin (I was trying to crop my face out as much as possible), and the pajama pants. Ha! Can't believe my Girl is in there growing! So crazy

Update

H E A R T B U R N is the bane of my existence. I HATE it. Yup that's what it is. My Dr was amazing and joking and made me laugh, I even felt great after words me and Steve went home and ate lunch. And now I am dying again. I just have to take my Zantac and Tylenol for the pain if it doesn't go away I have to take Mylesec or whatever that nasty stuff is (sorry spelling is escaping me right now). :(
I am back at work and dying but I'm stubborn and will wait it out! Thanks for your prayers girl I love you and I felt them all around me! Hopefully this Bean sticks it out another 15 weeks and will be fine and healthy! He heartbeat was 151 and she was movin and shakin and is still perfect!

Scared.........

I know I am way behind on my blogging and I need to take pics of the house and all that but life is crazy. For now I just need my bloggy friends to pray for me and my Baby........
The last couple days I have had EXTREME tightness in my belly. To the point where it hurts to walk or be upright so I've been trying to rest, sit, lay down whatever to relieve the pressure. Hey I've never been pregnant before I don't know what it's supposed to feel like, it worried me but I am a worry wort and I thought maybe it was just my belly growing to accommodate my ever expanding Baby inside. Well, yesterday after eating what was probably to much spicy/crazy food (Qdoba, and then a BBQ ckn sandwich at Applebees), I had amazing heartburn and was so bloated I wanted to explode. I woke up at 10 last night with the worst heartburn you can imagine. I'll spare you the details, but it was B A D. I slept somewhat OK but this morning I have been cramping so horribly bad. I am just sitting at work in tears it's so painful. I am scared beyond anything. I can feel Hailey move and kick so I think she is OK I am just worried this could be pre term labor or something else wrong :( I am drinking lots of water and seeing my Dr in about an hour and a half but I really could use your prayers. I am scared beyond anything and praying like crazy that everything is OK. I will try to update later today or tomorrow and let you know what is going on...........

Crazyness

So I am FINALLY updating. I know I am like a week late but oh well. I had over 200 blogs to read while I was in Denver, and all sorts of interesting things to look up online (can anyone say BABY stuff/clothes?? ha). Plus I keep forgetting to send myself 2 of my (4) pictures I took while in Denver. I know I am ashamed of myself for taking 4 pictures 2 of which were of Meg's Dog Austin, my nephew. LOL. I promise if we get together while she is "home" in Omaha for Christmas next week I will take some pictures of us together to prove that she really likes me and does exist. Ha.
Honestly it was the best, most relaxing, funnest vacations I have ever taken. Seriously. We did not do a thing. Ha. We did stuff just nothing big, no theme parks, driving hours away, nothing it was perfect! I got there Saturday afternoon, oh wait I must interject here. When I started working at the branch on Maple for First National I met a teller there named Nicole. We knew each other’s name from somewhere but couldn't figure it out. So we started talking about high school, churches, and stuff. Long story short it led us to elementary school and we figured out we were in Kindergarten together! Yes I went to 4 1/2 months of Kindergarten before being pulled out to Home school and it just happened to be that Nicole was in my class and now I am working with her at the bank! Well, she left the bank and works for Sprint who I have my cell phone through so she is my go-to girl for all my cell phone needs! :) Anywho she was sitting at the airport at MY gate with her friend! So I went up to her and said hi and turns out she was on the same flight to Denver! It was so funny. Small world right? So since we flew Southwest and you don't have assigned seating I ended up sitting w/ her and her friend and catching up. It was fun and made the flight go super fast. Denver is a HUGE airport like seriously huge and very scary if you've never been there before. So it was great to have a friend to go through it w/ and try to find luggage claim and all that :) It worked out great and it was so good to see her! Anyways so once I got through the scary airport and found Meg we went back to her apt and hung out for a little bit. Then we went to her sister's apt and hung out and chatted and then went out to
Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. OMG we NEED one in Omaha. Seriously if you live in a different state look them up and see if there is one near you, if so RUN there as quickly as possible! It was amazing. A huge never ending salad, soup, fruit, pasta, frozen yogurt bar. Oh my I was in heaven! I think we each ate like 7 plates of food. Now we didn't eat like full plates just tried nibbles of things but oh my it was heaven! We didn't eat the entire rest of the evening and we had an early dinner! Then we went back to the apt where Meg's roommate Kevin was hanging out w/ their friend CJ who also was staying there for the night from Omaha. Again small world. Well, it's a long story and we were going to go downtown but the boys were NOT co-operating, it was cold and yucky outside, and the boys ended up buying a pay per view boxing match. Oscar De La Hoya or whatever his name is against somebody who beat the living you know what out of him. I had never seen a fight before, to be honest I avoided them but whatever it was actually somewhat entertaining. So we all passed out and went to bed (after a taco bell run for the boys who had a couple to many beers), and woke up Sunday to a gorgeous 65 degree day. Oh the mountains were so beautiful! I don't think I would ever get tired of looking at them they are so gorgeous. But again I didn't take any pictures because my only views of them were from the car while driving on the interstate and with an occasional bridge and cars everywhere, I don't think the pictures would have turned out. :( We went to the greatest outlet mall in the world and of course I walked out w/ nothing but a $7 pair of sunglasses. Which of course I love to death! lol. Not knowing the sex of the baby stunk I wanted to go crazy and buy a bunch of cute things at all the baby stores but I held off. I just knew I would buy a bunch of girl clothes only to find out Wednesday it was a boy or vice versa. lol. I was annoyed! And for some reason I am scared to buy maternity shirts. I know I will have to break down SOON (as my belly is peaking out of the sweater I am currently wearing lol) but I can't do it. So yeah I was boring and saved my $ which is probably a good thing :) Sunday afternoon we laid around and watched one of the greatest movies EVER P.S. I Love You. Oh my it's so amazing. Megan nor Kevin had ever seen it and they loved it. Oh I forgot! We also stopped after the mall at a local pizza shoppe and got some yummy slices of pizza. It was rather late so we waited until about 7 to eat Goulosh made by yours truly. I seriously love to cook and I have missed not having my own kitchen while living w/ the in laws! One MAIN thing I am excited for (in 2 WEEKS!) is having my OWN kitchen and cooking all day and night and spoiling my hubby and giving him an even bigger belly then mine :) So we ate dinner and Megan studied for her finals while I flipped through TV stations and tried to leave her alone :) It probably didn't work well. We went to bed early cuz Meg had to be up to take her final at 7am, I laid around all morning until Megan got home then we laid around some more and watched some tv and just hung out. I finally got off my butt and showered and got ready for the day! We went to a very very posh movie theater in a very ritzy expensive neighborhood, we saw Australia with Nicole Kidman cuz it was like the only movie that was halfway decent playing at the time. (the theater is so small it only had 4 screens) It was a good movie but it was like 3 hours long! It was crazy. I don't recommend seeing it, maybe rent it if you must but be prepared for LOTS of blood and deaths. Some funny parts, but just kind of a weird plot. Anyways, after that we met up w/ her "best Denver friend" Janna, Janna's Mom and Aunt cuz Janna graduated Vet school that day! Yay go Janna! So we ate some yummy bar food and chatted and had fun :) We got home early since Meg had to study for her OTHER final the next morning. I watched my normal Monday night shows and just hung out and tried to be quiet again which again I'm sure it didn't work. Ha. So Tuesday Meg woke up at the crack of dawn again and took her final and I laid around being lazy as usual! We went to lunch at another great local place called Spicy Pickle. Oh my it was heaven! It was a cross between a panera and I don't know some other yummy sandwich/soup/salad place. Ha. It was so delish! Then we took the long way to get to the interstate and started the long drive to the airport I was so sad to be leaving :( But we had a BAD snowstorm in Denver Monday night that produced about 3" of snow and they were calling for bad weather in Omaha so I was deathly afraid my flight would be delayed/canceled due to bad weather. And ya'll I HAD to get back to Omaha to find out about my Baby on Wednesday! Luckily everything was perfect and my flights were right on time. I got into Omaha at about 7:15 and ran into my babies arms so glad to see him. I love that Man! We went home and he had a great surprise/present for me! I know I've said it on here before but it's really comical to me. Right when it's about a week or maybe more before a big event that boy can not WAIT for whatever occasion is coming up; he always has to give presents before. Like I always get a present a week before my actual Birthday. I get presents weeks before Christmas time. It's super funny and his Mom is the same exact way. They just get to excited and can't wait! So there was a bag with a present in it laying on the bed for me to open. To my shock and surprise he had ordered a Video Camera for us! I had been looking at them for months with the baby coming I knew we would want to capture all the big moments on video and I was excited to get one, but he kept making me wait until we got the house and moved to get one and then we would start seriously looking. Well, I guess he found a great deal and couldn't pass it up so he got it for me as an early Christmas present! I was so shocked and surprised that boy is horrible at lying and he knew about it for weeks and still told me we couldn't get one, I love my Hubby! So be prepared for LOTS of videos on here once I figure out how to upload them and everything! lol

So Wednesday morning comes, we slept in and Steve stayed home from work to go w/ me to the Dr apt and then go into work for a meeting after the apt. I was a nervous wreck. I couldn't focus on anything. I was in a bad mood and snapping at my poor innocent Hubby (I apologized later no worries) :( I so mean. But honestly I was so stressed ya'll don't know! So we wait a couple minutes in the lobby and Casey (u/s tech that I LOVE to death), took us to her room. We let the machine start up and get warmed up and had to wait even longer. Oh my I thought I was going to die from anticipation. Now I must stop here and interject, I did not care what-so-ever about the sex of the Baby. A boy, a girl, 1 baby, 4 babies whatever as long as it was healthy. All my nervousness and anticipation was over the health and only the fact that our Baby be perfect! I was so worried about Trisomy 13, 18, skeletal dyspepsia, something fatal and wrong with our Baby. Honestly I am SUCH a worry wart. I know way too much about all the different diseases Babies in utero can have and although NONE of our family has any history of any birth defects or anything I was so scared to hear "incompatible with life". So anyways, Casey comes in and is going to start, we tell her we do want to find out the sex but not until the very end once we find out everything was healthy and fine. We told her if she needed to move the screen we were fine w/ it (which she did have to do like 6 or 7 times). She scanned, measured, and looked for over 35 minutes. She was telling us stories about her own pregnancies (they had like 30 boys on her Dad's side of the family and she already had a boy and swore her 2nd baby was a boy and it was a girl!), other people, and some clients. She was so funny it was awesome she puts me at ease like nobody else can. So finally once she is done measuring everything and printing like a million pictures for us of the spine, profile, foot, I was in Mommy heaven with all the pictures! She goes through and shows us everything and telling us everything is measuring perfect. Oh my I was so so so so relived I can't tell you. I think Steve's poor fingers were purple from me squeezing him so hard. lol. Then we got to see a 4d of the Baby's face! The little arm was over the face, but we could make out a button nose, chin, and mouth it was so cute. Bean kept coving their face w/ their arms and hiding. I was so mad! It better get used to pictures and Momma shoving a camera in their face every 2 seconds. Ha. So after showing us the ribs and how perfectly shaped the spinal cord is, she showed us the Babies hands. Most of you know that if a Baby has Tri 13 or 18 their hands are clenched and it's a very very bad sign. Well, our babies’ hands were in front of their mouth sucking the thumb and waving to us. The most beautiful sight I have ever seen! This was one of my biggest worries was seeing a fist. It was beautiful, that was when I lost it. Not finding out what it was but that it was perfect and OK! Now for boring stats :) The Baby weighed 11 oz and that put it in the 28th percentile. Honestly I could care less about those charts and will never pay attention to them the whole time my child is growing up. I think they are dumb and a lot of kids now are over weight and un-healthy so why do I want to compare and have my child be "normal" or even on the big side! Oh sorry I am done ranting. So yeah Casey said that was perfect size and if the baby stays right on that curve of growing it will be in the low 7 lbs mark. Perfect for me I don't need to be pushing out a 10 lb kid! HA. But of course who knows what could change and the baby could start rapidly gaining weight in the next couple months. As long as it's healthy and they can get it out of me that is all I care about! I was measuring about 3 days ahead which is good and that means I could go a couple days early before my expected due date of April 30th. Again fine with me an early small Baby would be awesome! So after all this boring stuff is done she starts scanning again and looking for the Babies butt/lower area. She said she already knew what it was and was excited for us. We kept telling her it was a boy and how excited we were for a little boy but we were arguing over names and it was funny. So she finally finds the bottom half of the baby and lets us look for a minute, I was so sure I saw a little "wang" (sorry for the term) and said out loud "see I knew it was a Boy Steven!" and we squeezed each other's hands, so Casey just kept quiet but on the screen started typing and wrote in BIG letters T H I N K P I N K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I almost screamed! A little girl!!! Oh wow I am crying sitting here at my desk re-living it. It was so amazing and perfect and wonderful. We both started crying and were so happy. She showed us all her parts and why she thought it was a girl and we got to look at her some more and see her face and sucking her thumb. She is a VERY active Baby and was all over the screen! It was amazing. So we got like 12 pictures printed off including 2 of the 4D pictures which I will put on here at the end! She is sooooooo beautiful I am sooooooo in love w/ this Baby Girl. She is perfect and growing and I can feel her moving all the time! I just love it. She is going to be spoiled rotten! We left the office and went down to the front lobby to call our Mom's and tell them the wonderful news! Steve had to rush off for a meeting :( So I made him call his Mom at school first. As soon as she answered he told her everything is perfect and the Baby is healthy and fine and that Hailey Elaine will be here at the end of April. His Mom, God love her tends to be a loud talker and I can ALWAYS hear her on the other end of the phone and of course I was squished up to Steve's head so I could hear her reaction. lol. So she just goes "oh that's great!!!" then paused and "screamed IT'S A GIRL?!?!?!!" it was hilarious exactly the reaction I wanted! She was so positive it was a boy she had been out buying boy outfits and blue things and has since had to return them all! :) I loved it! Then I called my Momma who was about in tears and was so excited. She thought it was a boy to so she was thrilled. It was sweet. I called my sister also who was excited and one of my BFF's Nikki and we screamed together and talked about all the things I'll need and how excited we were. She has a little girl and is pregnant w/ a little boy due in Jan so I love talking to her cuz she will tell me all the practical things I need to get to get ready for the Baby to be here. I sent out a mass text message to all my other best girls and got so many amazing loving responses back. We are so blessed and this girl is going to have so many amazing cute clothes and be so spoiled by all her "Aunties"! I love these girls so much!
I think my most favorite reaction of all was from my Dad. Now you must know I think my Daddy is one of the greatest Men ever (besides God, my Hubby and my bro) and I love him to death. You could say I am a Daddy's girl and I would do anything for him. So he called me at about 6 that evening and told me he was secretly hoping it was a little girl all along and was so excited. He said the name Hailey is perfect and beautiful and he loves it. It was so great I was almost bawling. I know this lil girl is going to have Grandpa wrapped around her whole HAND and he will love her and be silly with her and they will have a special relationship. I hope Hailey and her own Daddy also have a special relationship like me and my Dad and are always close.
So later that morning I went to my regular apt w/ Dr R and he didn't do much, measured me (but didn't tell me anything about it. Wonder if I am to fat..........), and we talked for a couple minutes, I had some concerns about some of the glues and paints they use in new houses and if everything would be fine. He told me nothing will harm me or the Baby and that I can even paint her nursery! Yay! I don't think my Hubby will agree to that and that is fine with me! He can do all the painting ;) Love you Honey! Ha. So without further ado I introduce to you Hailey Elaine Sessions who should be here in less then 5 months! I want to meet her so badly!!!

Her footw/ 5 little toes, probably kickin her Momma!

Her most gorgeous profile! Face pointed up

4D picture. OK I realize for those of you who don't have kids or are not experts at seeing ultra sound pictures it looks really weird. I'll try to explain. Off to the far left is her plecenta (here by refured to as her "pillow" because she kept resting against it and Casey said she was sleeping against it like a pillow. Ha), then her head which she is digging her chin into her chest. You can see her nose right in the middle and her eyes above her cute lil nose. Her eyes are still sealed shut which is why she looks blind or something. Then her arm is drapped over her forehead cuz she was being shy and didn't want us to see her!

20wks 2days. Taken last Saturday I am 21 weeks today! Excuse the mess and the horrible face just focus on my cute lil Baby Girl Belly. Ha. Still wearing all my "normal" clothes to! YAY!

Movin along

So I'll go on and blabbel for a little while and you'll just have to deal w/ it K?
I am super duper super mondo super excited (can you tell I am excited?) b/c I get to fly out to Denver to see my bestie ever Megan! Ahhhhhhhh! She has lived there for over 2 years and she comes back to Omaha so much so I always get to see her and I never have the time, $, or PTO at work to get to go see her :( And honestly ya'll I could travel once a weekend a month for 12 months out of the year and still not get to everybody I would want to go visit. I have friends in Florida, Pittsburgh, Colorado, and Ohio I could go visit. Then I have family in Indiana, California, Washington, Michigan, and Alabama I could go visit! Soooo crazy. I would LOVE to go see them and sometimes it's so hard planning trips and trying to decide who to go see and when. Plus being able to take like a whole week off at once for me and Steve is nearly impossible. It's so super hard! :( Makes me sad I haven't seen my Gram or my favorite Aunt's and Uncle's or met almost all of Steve's family!! We are hoping to make it to Indiana and at least Michigan this next year.
So anyway all that to prove to you what a challenge it is for me to get away! But I made no excuses this time and w/ Southwest's AWESOME flights of $49, I really couldn't beat it. And honestly after living w/ the in laws for 5 1/2 months I knew I would want to get away and re charge my batteries! I am SUPER excited and can't wait to see where Meg lives, works, hangs out, meet her friends, go to what I have been told is THEE best restaurant EVER Sweet Tomato (is that right Meg?? I always friggin forget the name. Oops), do some outlet shopping and RELAX and cook for my girl! (and Kevin to!) I can't wait! I fly out Saturday morning and come back late Tuesday night then on Wednesday is the BIG appointment! Yes Becky caved and is going to find out if this little bean is a HIM or HER. I am super nervous, excited, emotional, fearful, a bunch of feelings all mixed into one! I am praying fastly that God has his hand over us and everything will be fine. I am scared God is going to take my innocence and give us something big that we think we can't handle. I know everything will be fine and he will not give us more then we can handle but if you think of us say a little prayer?? Thank you! We appreciate all of them! I will post a blog and let everybody know once we tell our parents and family, I am super excited and can't wait to tell the world the names we have picked (me and Steve are re hashing boy names as we speak. LOL we are in-decisive), and show the newest pictures of our Little Bean!
I will leave you with one new picture from the house from last Friday. We are hoping to go tomorrow and see a sidewalk, back patio, interior paint, and all our lighting fixtures up! But if nothing has changed inside we may just skip it and go next weekend :) We'll see and I'll make sure to take plenty of pictures! So here is the kitchen w/ ALL the cabinets installed and the counter tops on. I am partial but I think it's gorgeous!!!

A little of this and a little of that

So it's been awhile since I posted. Steve has had a weird laps in un-busyness at work (hey people it's my blog and I can make up words if I want to) so I've been waiting for him to write about something more exciting then NBA I don't think it's going to happen :( Maybe I should make him fill out the quiz about me? Ha yeah right! OK anywho here are some updates:
Pregnancy:
Going MUCH better. I have more of an appetite and am keeping LOTS of food down. Although it's weirdo junk. Cheeto's and grape Kool-Aid are my favorites right now. Along w/ any fast food. Taco Bell, Arby's, Burger King. Blah. I am not rich enough to eat out all the time so an occasional eggs and toast dinner has to do :) But the Reglan must be helping a lot because the nausea is down and so is the heartburn. I wish I could say it's also from being further along in the pregnancy but I still have my spouts of it (this morning was especially bad) or if I forget/take my pills to late :( I'm hoping this goes away SOON as they say not to take these pills for longer then 2-3 months. Yikes then what??
Also I have not been sleeping well. Our living arrangements have been getting the best of me and I fear I have a bad attitude about it. I whine and moan and complain far to much. I am forever grateful I have somewhere to live and especially somewhere where we can save so much $. But it's not MY house with MY bed and MY things. And I miss all of MY things :( I go to bed about 8 (yes 8pm) and am awake every night anywhere for 1 1/2 to even 4 hours one night. No rhyme or reason. I don't have to go potty although I usually do hoping that will help me fall asleep. Doesn't work. I am either hot or cold, to many lights in the room keeping me awake, it's always something. Mainly it's just my head running and running. I can't stop thinking. So I pray. A LOT. I pray for the baby, for my pregnancy and delivery, for my pregnant friends, for my marriage and husband, for our families, you name it I pray for it. Maybe God is keeping me awake so we can have "US" time together. Ha. But I need my sleep for The Bean, God!!!!
I have my 16 week apt tomorrow with my amazing Dr. I am excited. It should be boring, give blood, get weighed (pray for gain but NOT to much!), and ask my trillion questions! Now as you all know Dr Reed has a history of DRAGGING me in for ultra sounds at every visit. I told Steve not to come as we are not SUPPOSED to have an ultra sound so there is no need for him to come. But if by some odd reason we DO have one we could find out the sex! So now I am torn. Do I say no and not have one and wait until Dec at 20 weeks to find out when for sure my Hubby will be there? Or do I do one by myself and find out and then go tell him?? Of course if something is wrong and it's an emergency I will have one w/out batting and eye lash, but just for kicks I don't know what to do! Honestly people I am WAY to obsessed over this. LOL. Oh my! So anyways, I am getting a belly and this excites Steve to no end. He loves touching it and I make him kiss it and rub it all the time. Ha. I promise to take pictures SOON it's just I don't always look the most flattering and I don't want to post that for all the world to see.

House:
We have walls people! Our outside is mostly done, just needs grass, door bell, and exterior lighting. It's very exciting! We got our final move in date, and it will not change at all. We are moving in.........................DUN DUN DUN...............less then...............7 WEEKS!!!! Jan 2nd! OMG I am so so so so so so excited beyond words you have no idea! Seems like it will come up so quickly! We will have Thanksgiving, I am going to Denver to see Meg, then Christmas and then BAM we will move! :) Pray for good weather and NO snow or ice! :) hehe I know a lot to ask for in Nebraska in January! And now for an overload of pictures!!!
The outside!!! YAY! So cute! It's 2 different colors of tan. The bottom (main part) is creamy white and the peaks are darker shade of tan :) I LOVE IT! (p.s. you can see the monster of a house that is going in next door. Yikes our house looks tiny next to it!)
View into the foyer/living room from front door. LOVE me some windows!
My Kitchen! The food pantry is to your left
View of living room from Kitchen. And the door leading to our master bedroom is on your left.

Love me some windows! I am so excited about all the light that will come in the living room/kitchen from these. I love it!!!
Down to the "Man Cave"

Bean's Nursery and big window. Can't wait to decorate and paint!!!!

The spare room/guest room/computer room. Again I'm sorry people but I LOVE the windows! This faces the front of the house with the adorable flower box under them! :)

Our master bedroom one of 2 windows in the room

View from the picture above. HUGE walk-in closet to your left and master bathroom straight ahead.

Me and Steve are doing great. Trying to soak up all the "US" time we can get as we know our lives will drastically change in 5 short months. Plus with all the moving and house things we will be doing I know we won't have as much quality time together. A couple Saturday's ago I made him take me out on a real date. It was gorgeous outside like high 70's one night so we ate at Spaghetti Works downtown, went on the huge slides in the park, and for a horse drawn carriage ride. It was one of the best nights ever! I knew the weather would be changing and cold (it is. 30's this week. Burrrrr), and then Bean would be here before we know it and we wouldn't have the opportunity to do it again! It was so great and I have the best most understanding Husband in the entire world. I have no idea why he loves me but he does! And well I must say! :)
I took Thursday off for my Dr apt and also have a dentist apt that day (I swear I am trying to kill myself I always do that. Get them all over in one fail swoop), and then going Christmas shopping with my sister! YAY! It will be here before we know it people! I am teaching a Kids Choir at church on Sunday's and it's so fun! We are learning Christmas songs and when I told them we only had like 7 weeks to practice they got all excited!! :) I love Christmas!!!!

October 17, 2008

Oh the randomness of it all

So thank you thank you thank you to everybody who was thinking and praying for us yesterday at our dr apt! I only had a SMALL anxiety attack on my way to the office. Ha. Of course my radio and praise songs helped me to calm down. Plus the 23982103 prayers I said over and over for God to keep his hand on us and be taking care of this baby!
So after waiting for what felt like an hour my dr finally came in and we went over all the sickness and junk I have been going through and he answered all my questions (with minimal sarcasm. Love my dr we are just alike, honestly I don't think we ever have a normal conversation). Then he checked and since I am so up to date and a good girl with my pap smears (sorry TMI) I don't have to have one until like my last trimester. Woohoo! Call me strange but the less poking and prodding he does in that area the better for me! So Steve scooted his chair right up next to the exam bed and held my hand while Dr Reed took out his trusty doppler and put it on my belly. It is weird ya'll. It sounded like a fish tank in my stomach. So weird. So we didn't hear anything at first except all the whooshing water sound. Then a very very faint heart like a little thump. Of course I got worried and thought that something was wrong and it was to faint. Steve is like squeezing my hand and all nervous right there w/ me. Well, when Dr R started he was searching a little high and on my left side. He re-positioned it lower and on my right and WHAM the loudest heartbeat I have ever heard! Oh I was almost in tears. It was so amazing. Dr R said it sounded wonderful and very strong. Then he put away his doppler and said he had a secret and to pretend he couldn't find it so we could have another ultra sound! LOL. Honestly ya'll I don't know of anybody else that has an u/s every time they step into their Dr's office. I LOVE it! So I was super duper excited! Oh but of course the u/s came after filling up 5 HUGE vials of my precious blood. Blah. I HATE giving blood I bruise so so bad. The nurse did an amazing job but I still have a huge bump on my inside elbow that kills every time I bend my arm :( Do you feel bad for me yet? NO? haha. No worries I'll make it though. So we got to go see my favorite Tech Casey, this time (was the 1st out of all 4!) she got to put the normal little doppler thing on TOP of all my belly fat and see the baby that way! It was so so amazing. It looks HUGE to me even though Babycenter.com says it weighs like 1/2 an ounce and is the size of a lime. It was laying on it's back kicking it's HUGE limbs all over the place! We could see the head and it's ears, it's body and arms and legs! We saw and heard the heart and it was beating 157. Woohoo! A perfect strong little heart so far! But the most amazing thing was seeing how active it was and how much it was kicking and moving. Oh my we both almost lost it. Steve was almost more in awe then I was. It was soooooo amazing a true miracle. It's odd how much it was moving and I still can't feel a thing. So so awesome. Even Casey said it was a very active baby and she was surprised! :) Go little Bean! So I was on a high for the next couple hours and just wanted to go home and stare at the pictures of my Baby! Of course I already have them online and now you can see it!

Sorry I know it's horrible quality, and looks yellow. If I use the flash then it reflects off and you get a huge glare otherwise it's kinda orangish yellow like this. Sorry! But you get the idea right? Isn't it beautiful?? Haha I am a little partial.........

OK enough Baby talk, we got to go see our house a couple times last week and OMG is it coming along! Just to give you an idea we had visited on a Sunday and it was still a cement slab, went back and a Tuesday and this is what we saw!

Woohoo we have walls! It was very exciting, we went back on Friday and nothing else had been done. We are hoping by this weekend we will have windows and hopefully a roof coming soon! It's awesome and I know the next 12 weeks will fly by because so much will be done! Hopefully our windows, electrical, plumbing, and roof will be up so next week they can put the siding up! Yay! It still feels like a dream to me and that we will never get to live in this gorgeous new home that we built ourselves! Time will tell :) Here are a couple more of the inside sorry if they are boring it's exciting to me!!View from the kitchen into the living room and then our master bedroom is on the other side of those wall studs. I can't say enough how much I LOVE all the windows and natural light we will have! I am refusing to cover them all up w/ dark yucky curtains!

Me in my kitchen standing against the window where the sink will be. Ah such a great view of the neighbors house I will have while washing dishes! Haha. And that is the MIL taking my picture. We'll use this as my 11 week picture. Can't you see my lil bump? What you can't?? Hmmmmmm OK I promise to take an OFFICIAL real baby bump picture this week for you!

And a picture of my Hubby. Because he is a dork and I love him. Haha. He wanted to go Go-carting for his Birthday a couple weeks ago so he went with his brother. They had a great time. To bad prego couldn't go with them :( So I was there for moral support and to take embarrassing pictures. They had a blast. He was wearing the fireproof mask head thing they make you buy. Yeah you need a fireproof hat to go go-carting? I was a little nervous but they made it out alright. I love you Baby! ;) Sorry you didn't get your own Birthday post but your Birthday was kinda boring and not really blog material..........sorry! Haha. Love you all!

Down and out

So I will admit this post might be depressing and pathetic and horrible. I pride myself on almost always being an up beat fun person to be around. Yeah not so much the last oh 5 weeks. This pregnancy is killing me. I know I have other factors in my life that are NOT helping, but honestly I don't know how much longer I can go on like this. I hate my job and don't get along w/ any of my co workers, so I don't want to go to work. At all. Ever. I don't have my own house. My own space. I have about 200 sq ft to call my own and even it is laden w/ other people's furniture. I can't ever be alone or go to the "other" living spaces without questions and talking. Sometimes I just want to be alone. Sometimes I don't want to talk or answer questions. Even w/ Steve. He knows when to leave me alone he has seen the ugly side of me. Ha. Be afraid.
This sickness stage, I am so done w/ it. How much longer? I wish somebody would just give me a date or week when it will be done. If it is going to last all 40 weeks so be it then I can try a special diet, medication (although right now I am refusing. I can barely take Tylenol), or whatever the heck my Dr says to do. I can't even drink water w/out gagging. Now I am in this most glorious stage of throwing up every morning while getting ready for work. I actually came home Monday from work at 12 and called in sick yesterday. This is the first time in 10 1/2 months at this job I have called in. I just don't do it folks. I am strong. I come to work no matter what. But this Baby is kicking my butt. What if something is wrong? I am barely eating and when I do it's mainly junk. Popsicles, cookies, ice cream, Gatorade, nothing healthy or normal. I couldn't even eat toast yesterday w/out almost throwing it up. I am so scared. Is the Baby getting enough nutrients? I know I have PLENTY of fat to live off for months, but is the Baby living off that? I have no idea! I know for sure I am losing weight. I got weighed Monday morning for this stupid health thing for our insurance at work and her scale said I weighed 10 lbs less then when I got weighed at my Dr when I first found out I was prego. I am excited about this, like I said I have weight to lose, but not at the sacrifice of my babies health. I was eating fairly well and normally until this weekend. Sunday I was super duper lazy, no shower, didn't change out of my PJ's nothing. I barely moved. Then Monday I threw up twice. So so horrible. I can't handle that. And now I can't eat anything. At all. Things I would eat before and crave I don't anymore. It's soooooo hard. I don't know what to do! It's so hard not to get depressed and down about it. I can't control it and I don't LIKE that. Becky likes to have control. :( I know it's bad. I am praying so so hard so much. Asking God to heal me and make my stomach better. I know if anybody can it's only him. I called my Dr office this morning b/c I am getting worried. I haven't heard back I am assuming they are swamped, but tomorrow I have my 12 week apt and we're supposed to hear the heartbeat. PLEASE if you read this be praying for a strong and healthy heartbeat.
In the back of my mind I am so scared this pregnancy still isn't going to be viable. I won't let anybody buy anything for this baby. We bought a rocking chair w/ a ottoman cuz it was SUCH an amazing deal ($50 for both! pretty much brand new. I really love it. Just needs to be recovered but my Mom can do that cinch), but that is something we can use wither we have a baby or not. But no clothes, crib, stroller, car seat, pack 'n play NOTHING. It scares me. I will not buy anything until after our 20 week apt. And now that I am sick all the time what does that mean? It's seriously horrible and a blessing to have my friend Google. I Google any and every symptom I have. It's scary to read some of the things it comes up w/. So I try not to read anymore and I will just bug the living crap out of my dr. Ha. He'll love me.
So a somewhat funny story from this weekend. OK for last like 4 years I have gone to the biggest
Pumpkin Patch I have ever seen. (aside from the little people one on that TLC show. SCARY) Honestly people even though it costs a small fortune to get in you MUST go. We get discount tickets from the bank I work at so it's half price plus we get coupons off for food and pumpkins so it's worth it. But kids LOVE this place. It's so amazing. These people are millionaires from being open 1 month a year. Crazy. Anywho sorry for going on and on anyways, every year I go w/ my friends Sandi and Dawn and their kids. It's fun and I get girl chat and to hang out and it's fun. Well, EVERY year I get a caramel apple rolled in sprinkles. Now my hubby and pretty much everybody that knows me knows I love me a caramel apple. Like seriously it's bad. We used to have these in Omaha and for some unknown reason they took them all away from me. Seriously?? OMG I almost died the day I found out. So I looked forward to my apple from the P.P. even more this year. I was all excited and got home and showed Steve my one and only purchase. I stuck it on the computer desk in our bedroom until I was ready to eat it. He was excited to and made fun of me. I went out to dinner w/ one of my besties and came home and my apple had disappeared. After a slight heart attack I looked in the kitchen and there it was in all it's glory sitting in the cupboard. Now I know my hubby and I know how much he hates clutter and junk so I figured he took it downstairs since that is where the knives are (duh kitchen) and was tired of looking at it. Fast forward to Sunday afternoon; fat preggo lady takes a 2 hour nap and wakes up craving her said apple. I go curl up on my Hubby's lap and asked him to come downstairs and help me eat a little bit of it. (read; like maybe 1 slice) He tells me he already ate it all and it was gone. He was laughing so I didn't believe him. He likes to joke and be naughty about stuff so I didn't believe him. He tells me he did eat it all and even shared some with his Mother. Oh my I think smoke came out my ears. It took me about 10 minutes to believe him and then the water works turned on. Seriously people this was a full fledged hissy hormonal fit. Snot all over my face crying everything. I was so tired. tired of being sick and tired. tired of our living situation. Tired of my crappy job. tired of laying around doing nothing. And now my one precious apple is GONE? Oh my I lost it. He felt so bad the poor boy almost cried himself. Now the thing is there is NO where in Omaha to get a good apple. I will drive the 45 minutes Lincoln to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to get me a caramel apple. Can you say psycho? I know it's just a thing and I shouldn't get so bent out of shape but few things in life excite me and disappoint me like food does. If I get my mind wrapped around eating something then you better not get in my way. God is working on me in this area but I am still upset over it. ha. So pathetic! Luckily for my most amazing Hubby that I love w/ all my heart I am going to the Husker game in 2 weeks and will get my apple and maybe even some daVinci's! Oh be still my heart! :)
OK I am done complaining I just have to get all my feelings down before I forget them. Now years later I can look back and remember how crappy the first trimester of my pregnancy was and maybe it will stop me from wanting 7 children! haha. Love to you all and honestly I have no idea if this makes any sense at all. Sorry for rambling!

P.S. Tomorrow like I said is 12 weeks expect a update tomorrow afternoon my apt is at 12:15 CST

Oh the joys

The joys of pregnancy. This part really sucks. Growing a baby is HARD work. The hardest thing I have ever done. I do not want to eat or drink. Anything. At. All. It's bad. I am such a drama queen and so pathetic I sat in Arby's and cried over my amazing chicken salad wrap because I felt so crappy and every swallow was like a load of bricks. Hey it's my blog and I'll be dramatic if I want to. Honestly it was very sad. Steve just looked at me. The poor guy doesn't know what to do with me. He fetches me popsicles and ice cream every night for my cravings, he has been on his own for dinner for the last oh 4 1/2 weeks and I feel horrible. (I made him chili the other night! that has to count for something right?)
I went and got myself sonic for lunch since I've wanted it for the last oh 6 days now. I feel like C R A P. I am trying to make it the 3 hours I have left at work but I don't know if it's gonna happen. I feel like I have a fever but don't feel hot myself. So so so tired. And sooooooo gross. My stomach is just turning churning. Is this normal? Is it normal to feel big and fat and bloated? I swear my stomach fat is stretching across my hips now. Not like a baby belly just my FAT. Ha so so attractive. That is why I haven't taken any "belly shots", they all look exactly like me in the past 5 years but now I can blame it on pregnancy. Ha. I do think I'm getting a little bigger (seeing as how NONE of my pants other then my big ol gross sweat pans fit me anymore) but I dunno!
So I am trying to stay positive and not get to depressed and over whelmed by this all-day-sickness crap, but it's hard. I am trying to remember the light at the end of this tunnell. A beautiful gorgeous Baby we can call our own! Oh it also helps me a LOT that all last week my amazing Hubby was sick and felt like crap from sympthany nausea :) For some reason that makes me VERY happy and feel a lot better! Hey if I have to go through all this he should have to put up w/ a little something right? is that bad? Ha gotta love raging hormones! If any of you have any words of advice or encourgement I would so so so appreciate it! I try to eat when I can (often) and whatever I want and am craving, making myself drink stuff no matter what, and eat saltines like they are going out of style. I am out of ideas and don't ever want to leave my bed or sweat pants again!!!

Real quick......

Just wanted to put out a request just in case somebody actually does read this! My Grandma just came down with shingles. She just got over a very very bad form of leukemia last year (why she was unable to attend our wedding) so this is not good. I'm pretty sure it's due to a lot of family stress going on w/ some family she lives close to but that is only my speculation. So please please pray for my Grandma she is such a portrait of God's love and grace and I really don't want it to be her time to go be w/ him yet! I need her here a little longer! Thanks so much everybody!

Cuts like a knife........

*Disclaimer this will be a "heavy" post, which I haven't branched out and done yet so be fore warned!

So I know I am going out a limb and freaking out over nothing. Bare with me. I am a Drama Queen, love to do my "what if's" about a million times a day (ask my hubby. Sorry Steven you know I love you), and generally think too much. Honestly it hurts to think and be as retarded as I am sometimes. Before I confuse you anymore and go off into oblivion I'll start over........

I finally was able to figure some of this blog stuff out! I have been trying for the past 2 months to figure out how to get friends linked on my page. Although I don't really have any friends on here I still wanted to be able to when the time arose! I have become a total blog stalker. Seriously it's an addiction. I probably have over 20 blogs I regularly check on a daily basis at work. Some of which I have linked on the side of our blog. *I must input here I work at a bank, there for most things are blocked from us at work, limiting websites I can visit. Blogspot just happens to be un-blocked at the moment. If they decide to block it from me I might have a mental break down, seriously I don't know how I would pass the time even though I was able to without it 4 months ago.* Working a 9 hour shift in the most boring job in the world gives me plenty of time to read blogs. I am a good blog reader I go allllllllll the way back to 2006 or whatever when people started their blogs and read their whole life story from that point until recent. I must admit and think what you want about me but I have fallin in love with the most beautiful amazing woman that have lost children/babies. I have learned a lot about different diagnoses I never knew about before. All these women are so amazing and have such a love for God. I really feel that God put them in my life (even though they don't have a clue I exist) to strengthen my walk with him. I am so grateful for my life, my problems seem so piddly and I have so much to thank him for on a daily biases. Which brings me to my next point. We are trying to get pregnant, actively. Would God give us more then we can handle?? Could I handle a miscarriage, still birth, losing a baby after only living with us for 50 or even 2 some odd days??!? Things I question and think about a lot especially when I visit the blogs of these amazing woman.Which brings me to my next point. One of the totally weird girls in my office comes to work yesterday (which I must insert here that even though I say she is weird I don't feel one way or another about her. She is a nice person but I don't really know a thing about her. She is part time so we only are "together" for about 4 hours a day. She sits and does her homework on her computer while listening to her iPod and NOT answering calls which makes me upset but whatever she gets away with it) and tells us that her sister who is currently living in Australia called her last night (Thursday night) to tell her she is pregnant again. The way she said it we could tell this was obliviously not a good thing. When the sister told her husband she was expecting he got VERY upset and was mad and said he didn't even want to father the 2 children they currently have. Who says that?!?! Doesn't he know what a blessing children are?!? Doesn't he know that there are loving amazing people who are trying trying trying to get pregnant and can't, and he can just easily "lay" with his wife and conviece a child?!?!?! There are women and men who have had their heart full of love for a child, dream about molding it into an awesome God loving person and try their best to show it the world the way Jesus would have lived only to have them taken from them?!?! I really have no patience for ignorant people. I almost cried at my desk I was so upset. Who says something like that??? Is he going to walk out on his wife and children only because he is un-happy with his current life and can not stand the thought of another child being brought into the house? Ugh I am sick. I know I am naive and there are a lot of people like there out in this world it just breaks my heart when I hear about them. Please pray for this family, pray God will change his heart and make this man a loving husband and father. Also pray for one of my friends who found out this past weekend she is pregnant again and it's not the best timing or situation right now for her to have another child. (in my opinion) Pray for all the women who have lost a child, this is more heartache then I can ever imagine. And lastly when God is ready would bless us with a child we could raise and bring us to be a man/woman of God. For I know the child will only be ours on earth but God's eternally. Thanks for letting me rant and rave and if anybody actually reads it for not thinking I am absolutely insane! Love to all
