Brain Dump

Weird random things like diarrhea of the mouth coming out of me. Don't have whole blog posts for each of them so here they are all are!

-Ellie is doing my most favorite baby thing; when you put your arms out/up/down to pick her up she reaches for you. Ohhh it melts a Momma's heart! Most Mom's probably don't think about it, but it's one of those weird little things that I LOVE! Makes me feel like she loves and wants me to hold her! (even when it's annoying and I can't!)

-this is TOTALLY weird and random but I never blogged it (I don't think?? Which probably means I have blogged it 7 times already) but this morning I was thinking about my Cousin who tried out for the Olympics, she "retired" 10 years ago and has 2 boys, I can't remember how old her oldest son is (8 maybe?) but her youngest was born on the same exact day as Hailey! I love that!!! Even though we have never met him (they live in Ohio :( BOOOO) they share a special bond and hope someday they can meet and play together!

-I HATE to be cold, but a million times more then that I HATE HATE HATE to be hot. The worst thing in the world to me is to be hot. When your cold you just add layers or a blanket, when your hot you can't shave your head (well boys can which is unfair) or run around naked with no skin.

-Probably equally as much as I hate to be hot I hate to be wet. (sweat much?? SICK!) So when 99% of women LOVE to have cold washcloths on their head during labor/pushing I CAN.NOT.STAND.IT!!!! Steve made sure w/ Hailey to keep the evil things away from me when I was pushing so they got me a fan instead. (it HAS to osculate though I hate direct cold air on me. Yuck!) But when I was in labor w/ Ellie the nurse got a super cold washcloth for my head and stuck it on there w/out anybody noticing. Of course I didn't scream at the sweet lady but I think I picked it up and pitched it on the floor, the nurse was shocked and confusing and Steve just looked at her and goes "oh NOOOO washcloth she hates to be wet" ha it was funny. Before Hailey was even born I told him this was one of my wishes in the delivery room; NO WASHCLOTH! So weird

-Hailey is cracking us up daily. She is still a pain diffacult but she is hilarious too! Some funnies recently;

When she is hot (cuz ya know it's been like 100 degrees since March this year!) she says "I'm soakin hot!"

She opened the fridge, took out her sippy of juice (with cell phone in hand of course) and SAT on the inside ledge of the fridge with the door open. Looked at me dead serious and said "Mom my need to drink ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL my juice so I pee lots and lots"
Me (trying to keep a straight face): "what happenes if you pee lots and lots?"
H: "My will gets lots of energy!"
lol I don't know where she gets this stuff
She was "playing" with Ellie, after retrieving a hunk of Hailey's hair out of Ellie's hand Hailey looks at E VERY serious and says "Ellie Marie, do NOT pull my hair God made it!"
She was looking through Steve's paperwork from the hospital, she told me she wanted to go work at the hospital when she gets bigger. I asked her what she thought she wanted to do at the hospital and she said "My will make everybody wears pecial socks!"about time she narrowed down a career, and such a lucrative career. Me and Steve will for SURE be able to retire off her early! (she is talking about the socks post-op patients wear with the grippers on the bottom she is OBSESSED with those dumb socks!)
Steve was wearing a Coke Cola shirt and Hailey asked what it said. He explained to her it was pop like cherry coke that he drinks, she got all excited and started singing some song about cherry coke and told us it was on her "blue dbd" (aka her christian song dvd's she LOVES). Turns out it was "Joshua fought the battle of "cherry coke" (Jerrico)
I guess you would really have to know Steve personally, but he is extreamly laid back, un-emotional, never riled kind of person. (which you know is polar opposite of me, which is why we work so well together!) Hailey is EXACTLY her Momma in her Daddy's look alike body, so she still doesn't understand why I get so passionate and excited about things, and he doesn't bat an eyelash. Well, for about a year now Poop has had MUCH control over our house, she almost always only goes during sleeping hours (I mean honestly who wakes up to poop???), so one day she went in the middle of the afternoon and this Momma was excited! I told her to go in to Daddy's room (he was web surfing) and tell him. She walks out of the room with her head hung, I asked her if she told Daddy she pooped in the potty and she says yes, followed by;             "Him just said oh good job. :proceeded to throw both hands in the air "touchdown" style:  not OH GREAT JOB!"                                                                                                                                              LOLOL I about fell over, clearly she doesn't know that is her Momma's reaction and NOT her Daddy's!
-Hailey FINALLY after over 3 years is completely binkie free!!! I talked her into giving her last 2 (which just happened to be pink and purple) to our neighbors baby who actually uses binkies (unlike her sister who has refused them since she was 2 mo old). It was so funny taking Baby Sam, a boy the pink and purple binkies. But she was SOOO excited to share them which made me such a proud Momma! She only held them in each hand, almost never put them in her mouth, but it's been about a month and she sleeps like a pro without them!! She asked and looked for them about 3 times after getting rid of them, and we just remember her that Baby Sam was using them and she would just grin! Super sweet!
-We were also able to take the "knock lock" off her door. (the child proof door handle so she couldn't turn her handle and come into our bedroom 293802938 times a night) It happened about 3 days after getting rid of the binkies and I was quite nervous but again she has done great and stayed in her room! Lots of big girl changes in the Sessions house hold!

-Hubby lost his job. AGAIN. He was downsized in Jan of 2010 when Hailey was 9 mo. After 3 mo he found a really great job that he LOVES with amazing co-workers and is really good friends with his boss. Well, in May they called about 13 of them in an office and told them they are going to place their jobs at the bank headquarters in Tempe, AZ and not in Omaha anymore. For a few scary hours we thought we were going to have to go to Tempe and I was NOT happy, but God answered me and my Mom's prayers ;) and instead he is out of a job Aug 3rd. I know it is Morbid to pray for your hubby to lose his job instead of being transfered, and honestly if I felt that was God's plan I would have packed and moved without blinking an eye to support my Husband. But, leaving our families, friends, church, the only city I have ever lived in, PLUS try to sell our house was far to overwhelming to me. So God in a way answered a prayer! Obviously I wish he still had employment but God will provide and I'm not that worried about it. He has had a couple interviews, and has a very important one this week! Praying everything falls into place, and this is the job GOD wants him to have not US! I told Steve it's good we are not having anymore babies cuz I am tired of giving birth and then him losing his job. HA!
-We had mold on about 20 ft of concrete wall back in March. It was HORRIBLE. Thank GOD for my Mother who scrubbed the walls with bleach for about 5 hours to get rid of it and make it safe for my Babies. We got it cleared up, but it was touch and go for a couple days. Not to mention stressful. Oh yeah plus when we found it, the company that built our house (that we just built and moved into 3 years ago) declared bankruptcy. Great timing right?? But, like I said we got it cleaned up and figured out for the most part. Need to call our 2/10 warranty  company and see what they can do for us. Good thing we had left it un-finshed!
-At the beginning of June Hubby came home from work with what he called a bad stomach ache. (TMI SORRY) We just thought he was "stopped" up and that it would clear the next day. It just got worse. By Wednesday he wasn't feeling better and not able to go back to work so he made a Dr. apt. The Dr was afraid it was either his appendix, or something wrong with his large intestine. So he went to the hospital and got an emergency CT scan. (which I about DIED when we got the bill and it was $4,400 :O Holy cow!) They found his appendix to be enlarged and infected and he needed emergency surgery to remove it before it reputed. Did I mention that I have a nursing 5 mo old who refuses bottles, and this happened the day before me and 3 neighbors were holding a huge garage sale together?? Yeah great timing. OH and Steve's parents are out of town on a mission trip with his Mom's work. So I told him to call his brother and see if he could go be at the hospital with him. Luckily he did (I sooo owe his brother), because I was not going to take my 5 mo old up to the hospital and wait for hours. Nobody would have wanted that. Insert major wife guilt for not being there for my hubby. But I made him reassure me 293812 times to stay home with the girls because they needed me more and he had Scott. I know I would have wanted him to do the same thing, but still. Luckily the surgery went totally smooth, God has his hand all over the whole situation. And he got discharged the next day, so I was able to go pick him up and bring him home! After a week and a half he was even back at work!
-So yeah major moldy basement, job loss, emergency surgery, I think God is testing us!!! Hopefully we are passing with flying colors and he will lay off us for awhile! I am waiting for a flood, fire, car to break, something but I think we are done with crazy stuff! They say bad things happen in 3's right??
-If you don't want to count the basement as the 3rd thing, they you could say my other disappointment was finding out our BFF's (Steve's cousin, wife, and their 2 baby girls) can't come visit for a week in August. TOTALLY understand, they both have to work and DUH we are in the same boat. You have to do what you have to do to survive and keep a roof over your head and food on the table, but I am still pouting and going to miss them so much! Hopefully we can make our trip to Michigan next year and see them then!
-Hailey's bed/nap time routine is quite expansive. She has to turn on her fan, I turn on her ceiling fan, she turns on her night light, and I turn on a sound machine. She goes potty in her little potty that sits in her room, and then she crawls in her bed. I cover her up with her special Dora blanket (her bedspread in the winter. My gosh are my girls are HOT sleepers like their Daddy!) and sing Jesus Loves Me, Rock-A-Bye Baby (which MUST be sung with HER name, i.e. "and down will come Hayhee cradle and all". If I am being naughty I change it back to the real words and say baby or I'll say Ellie or another silly name but she makes you RE sing it to her name so honestly in order for me to hightail it out there I just sing her name to make her happy), and twinkle twinkle. We do this for every nap and every bed time. I sing those songs twice a day. 14 times a week. That is a LOT of singing!!! But that girls loves her a routine so we have to do it the SAME every.single.time

OK enough randoms! :)

Life and Whatnot

We'll see if I remember how to do this blog thing. Ha. Everybody who USED to read this is on facebook so I feel no need to re-post pictures everybody has already seen, and honestly when I have downtime I don't feel like writing anymore. Gone are the days of being super duper bored at a 9-5 desk job. This Mom job doesn't allow anytime to be bored. Ha. So anywho I have a couple idea's for blogs over the next couple days, we'll see if they all pan out or not ;)
I can't believe my Girl is 16 months. It's insane. Wasn't she just teeny tiny?? How can she be walking/talking/attitude all over?? Sooo crazy. She is a tiny petite little thing, just barely over 2' and 22 lbs. I get so sick of going out in public and ppl ask how old she is and then get "oh she is TINY she looks 9 months". I never know what to say, do I want an obese fat kid?? No. She is plenty heavy to carry around and I think the littler they are the cuter they are. But what do I know. She eats just fine thankyouverymuch, pretty much 24/7 like her parents, so I know she is healthy and fine. I've not even gotten a lecture about her size from her dr, but I think he knows that neither Hubby or I are 7' tall so there is no point in saying anything, it's her genes.

I was reading a blog from start to finish last week and the girl had a pregnancy almost identical to mine. It brought back all those horrid horrid memories. Could I do that again?? Hubby won't even agree to it at this point. These last 2 years and everything we've been through, I honestly don't know if we could handle that again. I remember those nights when Hay was 4 and 5 days old. Oh. My. Gord. Actually it started in the Hospital (I might repeat myself I don't remember what I have previously posted but this stuff has been stuck in my head lately so I am just getting it out all. Sorry). On our 2nd night in the hospital, I had sent Hubby home w/ an aching back to our bed to sleep. Neither of us can sleep in strange environments so I knew before we were even married if we had kids he wouldn't sleep overnight in the hospital. He wouldn't expect me to either, it's all good. Anyways, little miss thing had some MAJOR sensory issues from being 2 weeks early. Her pedi explained it to me while we were still in the hospital that sometimes babies that are born before 40 weeks gestation don't have their nerves systems fully devolped yet. So she would get WAY over stimulated and scream for hours on end and NOTHING we could do at all would calm her. So back to the 2nd night, we had loads of visitors that day in the hospital and once night and dark rolled around she freaked. I nursed her (both sides, like 20 min each, with 0 milk in yet. Yeah my kid likes to eat), and put her in the plastic thing that was her bed and got comfty and the screaming started. She scremed STRAIGHT from like 1am to 4:30 am. Mind you our room was like 2 steps from the nurses station and I know that all of West Omaha could hear this girl's scream. But God bless the nureses left us alone for this new Mom to figure it out on her own. I nursed and tried to get her to latch for literally hours. I bet I tried over 20 times to nurse to get her to calm down. I cried. I walked, I swayed, I swaddled, changed her, EVERYTHING humanly possible. (we didn't try or give her a binkie until she was over 2 weeks, she had a poor suck and I didn't want to mess up anything. But out of pure desperation I finally gave in and she loved the thing) Finally I buzzed the nurses and while 99 times out of 100 instead of just coming in when I buzzed they would ask what I needed/wanted, this time within 3 seconds she was in the room. She told me to take my ugly gown off, get Hailey naked to her diaper and put her head on my heart and push so hard on her you would think she can't breathe. (of course she could) Wala she stopped almost immediately. It was weird. But it made her warm and reminded her of the womb. We slept like that, for 2 hours. It was the worst.night.of.my.life. But not the last I'm sad to say. Then in the morning I get the phone call from my husband he laid on the floor to watch tv that night and was unable to get up. At ALL. Even to pee. Seriously folks. He somehow got himself to the chiro twice that day, but it almost killed him. He couldn't come and spend the day at the hospital w/ his newborn Baby and exhausted wife who got like 1 hour of sleep. Yeah not good. Thank GOD for my Mom would basically came and sat in the hospital all day w/ me. So instead of my wonderful Hubby coming to pick us up and take us home, my MIL did. Yeah NOT good. I felt (and a part of me still does) robbed. It's such a great expierance that the Hubby carries the Baby in and we all bond and have a great day feeding and changing the Baby and I didn't get any of that. Instead I came home to a hurricane of a house, a Hubby who couldn't move or do anything for himself and a child who screamed 24/7. I was a mess. I wasn't able to articulate at the time and it took me many many months to figure out what was going on in my head but I got super duper depressed and freaked out. I go to the hospital (almost 3 weeks early mind you, totally unprepared) and have a Baby. Life alterting to say the least. Come home to a Hubby who can't move or walk w/out holding on to the computer chair, kinda scooting around the house like a 97 year old man. Life alterting. And they basically both happened on the same day. It was FAR to overwhelming for my brian, emotions, self to handle. I thought this was how life was going to be. I was gonna be on the couch in sweats with a screaming kid and a hubby who needs me to wait on him hand an foot 24/7. It was just to much. I still can't explain it totally but my mind was just not in the right mind set. It was B A D. I was so afraid of everything. I remember thinking that if I swaddled Hailey in a blanket with a tag (which brings me to ask why can clothes be tagless but blankets have them?? Stupid) and if the tag ended up by her face she would surely suck the tag in her mouth and die. Or she would spit up a lot after a feeding and choke on it and I would have to pick her up to help her get it up/down/out. It was sooooo scary. Instead of sleeping in while Hailey slept I would have to wake up at 7:30 to make Steve his breakfast. It was just a bad dark time. And sleeping. Oh precious sleep. That girl would scream and cry like no other. I remember looking at the alarm clock all night. She would wake at 1:30, feed for 40 minutes. "OK if she goes to sleep right now we still get 1 hour and 20 minutes of sleep" (she was feeding every 90 minutes. Yes that sucks folks) But instead she would scream and I would say "OK 1 hour 10 minutes of sleep...........55 minutes of sleep.................40 minutes of sleep........" and finally I would just nurse her again and start all over. I was at a loss. We asked the Dr what to do b/c she had her days and nights somewhat confused, she never screamed like that during the day. She would sleep and nurse fine during the day but come 10pm it was full screaming until 2 or 3 am sometimes. I mean straight ppl. So he told us to wake her up every hour and a half during the day to eat and hopefully she would sleep 3-4 hour stretches at night. Yeah notsomuch. She liked that pattern so much she did it at night to! oh joy. I say all this but honestly I was so blessed, it got better by about 3 weeks, and by 7 weeks she was sleeping 6-7 hour stretches. I know some people with 12 month olds who don't sleep that long. We finally asked the nurse at the pedi office and she said to use a white noise machine and see if that helps. She still has it in her room if that tells you anything. And we found she loved the bathtub running, so I did that a lot to. And honestly what worked was letting her sleep on her tubby and swaddling her. I don't want to hear about not letting her sleep on her tummy cuz I did it, and my Mom did it, and Hailey did it and we're all still here so there. Ha. Honestly I would do it with my next Baby if it's what he/she liked.
All of that to say it gave me a complex. I thought I had a demon child. Everywhere I went and everybody that asked heard about how horrible and high maintenance she was. I feel bad, and she was NOT what I was expecting at all but I think I kinda went over board. Again w/ the depression I guess. But I moved on and finally got out of it. I finally got to be normal again in August (last year) when we went to Michigan to visit family. It was so great. I loved meeting some of my bff's in real life and having girl chat everyday for a week was SO great! Also my Baby was sleeping through the night for 9+ hours and taking a 4 hour nap in the morning. Yeah my girl LOVES to eat and sleep just like both her parents. lol. Then in the fall my best friend came over once a week to watch a show together and it was sooooooo amazing. I missed my girlfriends. Probably 9 out of 13 of them do not have kids. They don't relate to me anymore I think. It's like I dropped off the face of the planet. But it was hard to get out of the house being stuck on the 90 minute feeding schedule. It sucked. I am so glad we are past that stage and I can just throw my girl in the car and run errands or drive around or go to the zoo/mall/target whatever! She is so fun now and LOVES to be w/ her Momma an be social.

Another thing I MUST note that nobody tells you about postpartum is the things your body does. We got home from the hospital on Saturday and Sunday night I was living off about 8 hours of sleep over 4 days, my body started to shake uncontrollably. I was wearing sweat pants, tank top, sweat shirt, socks, slippers, and had a blanket on and I just shook and shook. It was soooooooo scary. Steve took Hailey for 2 hours (in between feedings) and made me lay in bed and try to sleep. I remember I had the phone in my hand and had punched in the number for the nurses station at the hopsital, but didn't turn on the phone yet to dial it. I just laid there thinking I was going to die. It was SO scary, like I was in some kind of shock. I'm guessing I was. Blood loss, screaming baby, exhaustion, broken Husband, no real meal, everything just over took me. It finally stopped after a couple hours but I was so scared I was going to have to be re-admitted to the hospital. Phew!

Oh and did I mention my Baby had jaundice?? Yeah she was surely going to die. I was so freaked out. That is another reason I started on the 90 minute feeding schedule. All I did was sit in the sun by the sliding glass doors with her naked and feed. All. Day. Long. I was so worried she would have to go in the hospital for it and then who would take care of my broken Hubby?? I couldn't leave my Baby there alone! Once the Pedi told me the lights and a care nurse would come to our house I totally relaxed about that. And her jaundice was gone after like 3 days.

So yeah that is my horrible new born days. I was scared to talk about them and pushed them to the back of my mind. But now that I want to have another Baby I need to remember these things. Could I do it again? I'm sure. You never have the same exact experience twice. But still. It was bad. And throw a toddler into the mix?? Um yea not sure.

Anyways, now my girl is sweet (for the most part. unless cutting teeth), and fun and loves to be going going going 24/7. She can say, Momma, Dada, doggie, kitty, shoes, up, hello, hi, byebye, and bath (ahbah). We really pushed the sign language when she was younger though so her speech hasn't taken off. She can sign, eat, more, drink, please, and all done in addition to waving hi and bye. Don't get me wrong the girl talks 24/7 but I swear it's a mixture of french, german, italian, and some made up language of hers. It's hilarious and honestly she never stops. I told Steve I kinda hope she never learns to really talk b/c it's so flippin cute I love it! And I'm not ready for her attitude and talking back ;) At her 15 month appointment the Dr freaked out when I told him she wasn't speaking words and had even stopped saying Momma, Dada, Bybye. He told me we HAVE to do speech therapy asap and figure out what is wrong w/ her :*( NOT what a Momma wants to hear. So I stress, pray, google, read, and finally got a hold of the speech therapist from our school district. She said they don't even do any testing until 18 mo and not to worry and she hoped she never talked to me again! I sighed a big sigh of relief and wouldn't you know it 2 days later she said Momma clear as day! She has since added all those other words in, sometimes they aren't noticeable and I might be pushing it, but I think she is just stubborn and does things slowly and on her own time. She didn't get a tooth until 10 months, crawl until 8 1/2 months, or walk until almost 14 months. She is just a little behind and I'm in no rush to make her talk. She can hear perfectly well so I know that isn't the issue either.
OK I've gone on and on and on so I'll stop here. But I will seriously try to be back either tomorrow or Monday w/ my other 2 posts! Maybe I will get into a better rhythm of posting, I really want to keep this up as journal-type for Hailey and all her milestones. So far I've failed miserably but her baby book is all up to date! YAY! lol. OK until next time peeps...............

My Peanut

Oh dear it's been to long I'm going to jot down some stuff that has been on my mind bare w/ me. I have no time to pee anymore let alone blog so this will be all over the place!

*my daughter hates life. Ha. Seriously. This girl is HIGH maintenance. I really think God is testing me and teaching me patience. It is working. Seriously. I have been so much better the last couple weeks at not getting angry and just dealing w/ the screaming and the situation calmly.

*me and my dear old friend Reglan meet again. You may remember I was on this for my nausea during pregnancy. Apparently it helps w/ milk supply as well. I'm not very happy about it. But I tried everything. Herbs, malt, drinking more water, nothing would get my supply up. So now I am pumping every 3-4 hours at night (so long 10 hours of sleep!) and after every feeding :( I am not a very happy girl

*in addition to pumping at night I am also waking up to a screaming baby 4-6 times a night. She looses her bink and fahreaks out. She screams until it's put back in and then promptly conks back out again. Odd. She is swaddled still, so does she hate being swaddled? Just want her bink? want to be comforted? Hot? Cold? Hungry? WHAT?!! Oh my I am going crazy. What happened to my awesome sleeping Baby?

*and again in addition too not sleeping at night this girl BARELY sleeps during the day. I'm lucky if I get 3 40 minute naps out of her. Makes for LONG hard evenings of crying until it's bedtime routine. Oh my it sucks.

*We do have an AWESOME bedtime routine though which I am quite proud of I must say. And honestly no matter what else we have going on we always make sure we're home by 7:30ish so we are strict on this routine. This little girl thrives on it and has it down pat.
8ish-Cereal
8:15-8:40-Bath
8:50ish-6 oz bottle
9:30ish-asleep in my arms and then in the crib!

*Oh my gosh how I am in love w/ this little girl! she drives me mad and I wish so badly I could read her mind and make her happy but I love her more then life itself! Her smiles and laughs make the whole night before fall away!

*She is a Momma's girl. If I walk out of the room she is screaming for me. Makes me feel good but wish she could be left w/ Grandma/Daddy/Aunts w/out screaming the whole time. It's hard on everybody. But secretly makes me feel great. I love that she will be crying and sees me and breaks into a huge grin and grabs my face. LOVE it

*all my years of baby-sitting/nannying I loved when Babies would hold out their arms for you. Makes you feel so loved! I always knew it would be better when it's your OWN child doing it, and Oh. My. Gosh. is it. First time Hay held out her arms for me to pick her up I think I cried. Seriously!

*this little tiny peanut of a child has some lungs on her. And a major tude. She runs this house and knows it. If you aren't giving her 110% of the attention she thinks she needs she lets out a scream like no other. Seriously this child could do voice overs for horror movies. It's embarrassing when in public and makes me want to jab out my eardrums. Not sure if I should discipline, distract, ignore?!?!? None work as I have tried them all. I digress.........

*even though Hay is a HUGE fan of Mommy she loves her some Daddy to. They are so sweet and cute playing together and I can see how much love Steve has for her already. I always said he will be an amazing Daddy to a big kid and won't really care to much for the newborn stage but it's hard not to love this little munchkin. They are really so sweet together and I know it will only get better and stronger as she gets older and can do more.

*can NOT believe tomorrow she will be 1/2 a year old. Where oh where does time go?!?!? :( I'm sad!

OK that is all I can think of now for jotting down. But I want to use this as a journal and write things down before I forget them but of course I have forgotten most of them! HA. Hopefully I'll get better..........

Labor and Delivery part III

OK so my lil Princess is asleep (on her tummy cuz I am the worlds WORST Mother that loves her own sleep and peace and quiet and this is the only way I can get my child to sleep more then an hour at a time. Sue me, and yes I will lie to our pedi about this at our next visit in a couple weeks. HA), so I'll try to continue our story. I apologize if these are totally un readable and horrible b/c I don't have time to write them much less proof read them like I used to! Ya'll are lucky I am spell checking. Ha ha.
OK so we got a new room, which was lovely and had a window, we had TONS of visitors that day. My Mom and brother, my Dad and brother again, my bff Meriam and her cousin who was visiting from Cali, Steve's parents, Steve's brother his wife and 4 kids, and my sis and her hubby! Lots of stimulation! So at 2am after our feeding Bean screamed bloody murder until 4:30am. I cried to a LOT. I tried feeding again, rocking chair, changing her diaper, changing her clothes, in her bassinet thing, a butt load of different positions on me, everything! I finally called the nurse and God bless her she came in and helped me. She made me get Bean naked and hold her on my chest as tight as I could so that she was still breathing. Worked like a friggin charm and we slept for 2 1/2 hours like that. My arms killed and I was totally uncomfortable but I was so happy.
Steve called me in the morning to tell me that he was flat on his back in the living room and COULD. NOT. MOVE. At all. It's a totally LONG story but weeks before I delivered his back was hurting really really bad. It's an even LONGER story how he hurt it. Basically he slipped a disk or SOMETHING bad in high school and it never healed properly. So now it was rearing it's ugly head again, a mere 13 years later. When I give birth. Oh joy. So I told him not to worry about us and just get better and come see us later. He would be able to move after going to the chiropractor or something right?? So he found a chiro that was in our directory of insurance and made an apt for that afternoon. He went and got x-rays and then went back later in the afternoon to review them and get "cracked". This was HUGE. Bigger then we ever could have through. He had a slipped disk and 3 smushed vertebrae. Or something along those lines, honestly I can't remember exactly but it was bad. Also (pardon my non Dr descriptions here), a normal person's spinal cord is curved a lil at the top of your back and then goes straight all the way down. (I think?) His was completely opposite. This was causing his legs to be 3 inches different in size. Holy cow. This was major. I did not get to see my husband for the next 2 days. I almost died. It was horrible. He missed out on SO much bonding time w/ Hailey and I was an emotional wreck. I had my family and his parents come visit me everyday but it was still bad. I was a mess. His Mom ended up having to bring us home from the hospital, and as much as I love her to death and am so eternally grateful for all they did for us I still can't help but feel jipped. It's supposed to be a huge couple/family/loving moment for husband and wife to bring home their first Baby. I came home to a pit hole of a house and a husband laying flat on his back unable to even walk to the bathroom for the next 2 1/2 weeks. :( It was so bad! I literally had to wait on him hand and foot PLUS take care of a newborn PLUS run the house and try to take care of myself! Luckily (PTL) his Dad came everyday to take him to the chiro and a couple times swimming at the YMCA for therapy. Slowly he got better but honestly I think it was one of the hardest times in my life. I don't know how I survived. I won't lie and say I wasn't depressed and I cried A LOT but we got through and omg to see that boy walking upright w/out holding onto the arms of the computer chair (cuz it's on wheels so it was his "walker") was amazing. Once I stopped feeling sorry for myself and curing God I realized what a blessing all the timing was. If Bean hadn't come 2 weeks early and had come on her due date Steve would have had to work instead of be home w/ me those first 2 weeks. And if he had hurt his back 2 weeks before she was born then he would have been out of work for 4 weeks or could have possibly lost his job. How amazing is God's timing? I am still praising him for this. And honestly as bad as it sounds this was all a big blessing in disguise. His back is healing and hopefully if he keeps up w/ it it won't bother him ever again and we will be able to lead somewhat more normal lives w/out worrying "Oh is this going to hurt his back/knees/legs?" YAY! I also learned a lot about myself, I leaned on God SO much for strength and guidance, as well as others. I do NOT ask for help I am a do-it-all-myself kind of person and having to ask people to go grocery shopping for me, and cook us dinner, and do my laundry was especially hard! I am also stronger then I thought. Not to toot my own horn but it was HARD and I am strong and I can handle a lot and not break down! YAY! So now that Daddy is all better and healing and back at work me and Bean take it easy during the day. I try to take naps but honestly we just sleep in WAY late and then lay on the couch most of the day :) It's great!
She is not the easiest Baby. I prayed for MONTHS before she was born for God to give me a happy peaceful Baby that didn't cry and was a good sleeper/eater. He did not give me this at all. I guess he is testing me, and I hope I am passing because I sure am taking to him a LOT and asking him for help and strength. She cries a lot. She is very unhappy in this world. I don't believe in colic but if I did I would say she has it. I think she is just scared and cold and doesn't like it here. She gets over stimulated by all the light and the tv and people's voices it scares her and her brain has a hard time turning off at night. She is getting amazingly better as she gets older and we are limiting outings and visitors which is HARD as heck for this on-the-go-social-as-a-butterfly-girl but we're making it and it's worth it to not have 4 1/2 hour crying fits. Yes one lasted from 6-11:30pm one night. And I was at walmart for an hour of it and came home to a crazy upset Hubby. Poor guy! So we haven't had one of those in almost 2 weeks, she mainly just cries if I wait to long to feed her (oops), or if she is overly tired. I think the longest in the last 2 weeks she has cried is an hour and half. Which is bad but nothing compared to what it was. I am also getting to know her so well and know what she likes and doesn't like, and while it changes daily we're doing better. :)
So I think that pretty much catches you up! Oh her hip didn't form properly. It's hard to explain google "Hip dysphasia" if you want to know more. It's VERY common with first babies and especially girls for some reason, but it still upset me. Basically the ball and socket didn't join together properly in her first couple of weeks so she has to wear a special brace that pulls her legs up and out to the side and basically shoves the ball into the socket where it will then close up properly. If we didn't do this brace she would need surgery and would be in pain her whole life. So we had numerous dr visits, ultrasound, and now this UGLY brace. I cried 3 times the first day she got it, it looks like a body cast but we are used to it now and it doesn't bother her at all and I know it's not hurting her and is for the good in the end. :)
Oh before I forget she was also quite jaundice so if you see pictures of her in her first week she was totally yellow and had bad coloring :( I was a freaking psycho about this. I lost sleep, cried, and almost made myself sick over it. I don't know why, first time Mother thing I guess. I just wanted a perfect Baby, and I thought she was really sick and was so worried about her! I fed her honestly about every hour and a half and sat in the sun for about 2 hours a day. It was bad. But I got her better and she gained almost a pound in a week! :) YAY!
Alright I am out of here. I am almost all caught up on blogs (went from over 500 to 300 b/c I deleted over half the ones I was following on reader. Whoa! Things to do while I was at work :) Ha. Now I am down to 80 so I'm sure I will get through them tomorrow) so I should be back to blogging and commenting more. I love your comments so keep them coming! YAY! Love you all. Pictures coming soon............

The post where I whine and complain and moan.......

I'm sorry ya'll I ALWAYS try to be upbeat and positive, I really hate being a complainer and a negative person seriously I do. But this pregnancy and the end times are kicking my much-too-fat-booty. I am HUGE. I have stretch marks all over the entire front of my belly :( Which didn't decide to appear until about 2 weeks ago. My woobies are huge and fit in nothing anymore I swear and although they are NOT leaking (PTL) they hurt like mad. Saturday night we went to my parents for Easter dinner and about half way through dinner my stomach started cramping like the WORST PMS cramps in the entire world! Now when I was "normal" and would get my period the week before lovely Aunt Flo was supposed to show up I would cramp low and horrible and then it would move to my back. For a week. Blah. I do NOT miss that. But anywho, this is EXACTLY what it felt like. To a T. Except then my whole belly up to my woobies got hard as bricks. My Dad started freaking out and telling me how to breathe and that he was going to boil water. LOL. Love him. This seriously was constant for 4 1/2 hours and didn't stop until about 9:30 when we were home and on the couch. The tightness didn't stay the whole time it would come and go but the cramping pain was constant. So honestly I don't know what it was! A contraction I've been told starts, last for MAYBE a couple minutes and then goes away. Braxton hicks are just like a weird tight pain and then goes away right away. Am I wrong?? What the flip is my body doing?? Meanwhile while these are going on Ms Hailey is freaking out and flopping all over. I'm assuming her "house" was getting smaller and smooshed and she didn't care for it, but I thought if it was a contraction that the Baby settles down and stops moving, no?!?!? I AM SO CONFUSED!!!! I need somebody to get into my body and tell me exactly what I am feeling and exactly what is going on! So I did some research online (aka reading blogs lol) and saw that women that had these type of "cramps" usually went into labor with in 24-36 hours. I was so excited I almost woke my Hubby from his deep slumber at 11pm b/c even though I wasn't IN labor I was going to go INTO labor soon! I quickly decided if fluid wasn't leaking out of me or anything its best I do NOT wake him up. Haha. I hope he appreciates it! I slept like crap Saturday night and felt nothing all day Sunday. No cramping, pains, stretching NOTHING. I was quite disappointed. Until I got to work today. Holy moly. This girl is doing a number on me. It's been pretty much constant cramps since 8 this morning and still going strong. Plus my back is killing me. Oy vey! But it's totally fine if it means she is closer to coming. Like with in the next week?? Tomorrow??? Friday?? I'll take whatever I can get! So here is the part where I whine and complain;

-I slept about 4-5 hours last night despite being IN bed for 9 hours.
-Waking up with heartburn again despite being on the SAME prescription meds for over 5 weeks now. That WERE working but decided to stop at 1am and make me wake up to take a tums
-I rub my husbands back almost every day/night and try to make it feel better for him only for it to be totally worse today and he has to go get another professional message
-SWOLLEN. I am a walking water balloon I swear. It's horrible. My feet are at least 3 times the size they normally are. And they hurt. The extra fluid is putting so much pressure on my veins/bones they ache. It's really bad. Plus part of the reason I was up half the night was because I was trying to dig a hole through the skin under my big toe on my right foot it was so itchy and would not STOP itching.
-Due to swelling I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring for about 4 weeks now and it's depressing and I miss it and feel naked. Everyday I go to work I feel like I forgot something but it's just my rings
-My face is HUGE and the Mother In Law decides to take a million pictures of me and email them and they literally make me cry I am so HUGE and gross. Seriously I am vain but they are ugly and I can't look at them
-I am now missing my niece's 4th Birthday party tonight because I don't think I can sit in a gym with a bunch of little kids while I am in this much pain. And I REALLY wanted cake :(
-I am ONLY 37 weeks. Supposedly. I don't know when I conceived so I could be like 38 or 39 or even 40. But I still feel like since I haven't gone past my "due date" I have no right to complain.
-In fact I have no right to complain period because I am pregnant and so far have a perfect and healthy Baby growing inside of me when so many amazing women can't do this. Makes me feel guilty.
-This horrible taste in my mouth that I have 24-7 is horrible disgusting and I go through about 7 sticks of gum a day. It's so gross.
-My blood pressure has been "high normal" and I'm pretty sure it's due to my stupid horrible job and the people that I sit with, note how I didn't say that I WORK with because honestly none of them really work hence the stress and high blood pressure..............

OK that is enough I am stretching it looking for things to complain about now. Ha. I have my Dr apt today at 4:30 CST and I am debating wither or not to ask my Dr to strip my membranes. Any thoughts on this?? Honestly you won't offend me. I don't know how I feel. I know I really really want to move along the process and get her here sooner then later, but I am afraid it's to invasive and I should just wait until she is ready and my body is ready?!?!?! Plus I feel like 37 weeks and 4 days is to early. If I was like 39 weeks then yea. But the swelling, blood pressure, contractions, back labor, I'm just miserable plus I am the MOST impatient person on the planet and NEED to meet this little girl TONIGHT!! ha. I still have a feeling she isn't going to make her appearance before next week but we'll see what Dr Reed says. I'm getting excited and anxious and NERVOUS about labor but know that God has blessed me this far and he will be with me the whole time!
This past weekend was VERY productive for me! Although we got GOBS of clothes and blankets and great things at my shower, I knew I still didn't have ENOUGH to get me through the first few months and a friend of a friend was selling all her girls clothes and wanted me to come over and go through stuff and buy whatever I want before she has a garage sale in a couple weeks. So me and the mother in law trekked across town and got about 35 outfits/sleepers for $40! It was awesome, I had really no 3-6 month stuff so that is what I focused on. What if this little girl is huge and whips right through all her 0-3 stuff?? So I got a bunch of super cute and CHEAP stuff. Most of looks like it hasn't been worn at all it's in such great shape, and most of it wasn't for more then $3 an outfit! YAY! Thanks Jennifer!

Then on Saturday afternoon me and Steve rushed off to my most FAVORITE photographer in the world, Lesley to do belly shots! They turned out AWESOME and her camera is MAGIC and didn't make me look as fat as most have lately! I should get the disk of all the pictures in the next couple days and I'll have a picture over load for you! They turned out amazing and I'm sure will look even better after she retouches them and changes all the effects and that fun stuff. I'm excited! :)
Then yesterday morning I didn't my usual Sunday chores, laundry, misc pick up stuff around the house, but then I also made a double batch of sloppy joes, a small pan of enchiladas and a big batch of chicken taco meat and froze it all for Steve. I felt VERY accomplished! Oh we also finally got the base put in my car and I got mainly all my hospital stuff packed and ready to go! Heaven help me if I have to rush off to the hospital and Steve has to get things for me :) Love you Honey!
OK seriously this is so long and BORING! I am just trying to get everything down so I remember all these times, good and bad! I know I will look back and laugh! And remember to be checking facebook for updates and I'll try to write a blog or make Steve write a quick blog when she is here! Not sure how long it will be before a picture gets up since I won't have my photo software on the hospital computer or Andy's laptop but I'll see what I can do :) Loves to all and hope you had a great Easter rejoicing Christ being risen!

Wedding

I'm a blog thief but thought this looked fun and wanted to fill it out! You guys go do it to! :) A full detailed post w/ pictures coming up...............

1) When was your wedding day?
September 23th 2007

2) What day of the week was it?
Sunday

3) Did you get married in a church?
Nope, outside at a private Clubhouse

4) How many in your wedding party?
2 Bridesmaids, 2 groomsmen, a flower girl, a ring bearer, and lots of special "helpers"

5) How many guests were invited to your wedding?
Right around 130 but only about 95 showed up

6) How long where you together before the engagement?
1 year and 3 months

7) How long did you wait to Tie The Knot after your proposal?
about 9 months

8) How did he propose??
Read about our engagement HERE

9) Did you register for gifts? If yes, where?
Target and JCPenny

10) Who did you hire as your photographer & videographer?
Photographer; Lesley who is AMAZING and I love to death and has become a good friend. We didn't want to spend the $ on a videographer which I don't disagree with to this day but I really really really wish we had it on video so I could go back and watch it and catch things I missed, but it's probably best I HATE seeing myself on tv and hearing my own voice. lol

11) Did you have a DJ or a band?
A DJ who was amazing

12) What was your First dance to?
Could Not Ask For More by Edwin McCain, tear up every time I hear it to this day!

13) Did your father walk you down the aisle?
Yup!

14) What color were the bridesmaids' dresses and groomsmen's vests?
Bridesmaids dresses were a deep red color. LOVE them they looked so gorgeous on my skinny little bridesmaids. The guys just wore dress pants, button down shirt and a tie. We went super casual

15) Did you have a bridal shower?
Yup 2! One was with the "Mothers" and was awesome I got so much great stuff! The 2nd was with all my girlfriends and was a spa party it was super fun!

16) What type of limo did you get?
Didn't get 1, waste of $ we didn't go to/from anywhere, ceremony and reception were held at the same place

17) What were your flowers?
I had deep red roses with white tulips (fav flower!), and the girls had all white roses with silver jewel things in thiers. They were amazing and I loved them!

18) What flavor was your cake?
We had a 3 tiered cake w/ 3 different layers. 1st layer (that we cut) was chocolate chip (for Steve the only way I could get him to eat any was if it was chocolate chip), the 2nd was pink champagne cake w/ pink champagne filling, bottom and best was almond cake w/ raspberry filling. DELISH

19) What type of wedding gown?
A line, strapless, bodice was full of beading and the bottom had a scalloped edge. I had been w/ my girlfriends and picked out a dress that was totally plain and only had a bow on it, took my Mom, Sister, and Steve's Mom back to show them and they hated it and talked me into trying on dresses w/ beading and that were "puffy", I argued but wanted to make them happy and fell in LOVE w/ this dress the instant it was on. I even got to take it home that night!

20) What was the weather like that day?
like 85, sunny and 70 mile an hour winds. But it didn't rain and that is all I cared about!

21) Did you have an open bar?
NO. We were cheap and only had homemade punch and water. I didn't want anybody ruining my wedding because of alcohol either......

22) Where did you go on your Honeymoon?
Estes Park Colorado. BEST VACATION EVER. Wish we could go back. It was so relaxing and fun and I LOVED being w/ my HUSBAND!!!!

23) What was your favorite thing about your wedding day?
Besides the fact that we were married and together forever, was seeing Steve's face when I walked down the aisle. He swore he wouldn't be emotional and he wasn't going to cry and I saw him tear up when he first saw me. Amazing. I lost it to. Things I wish we had on video.........

24) Did anything go wrong?
I was over an hour late to the Clubhouse to get ready so we didn't get to do any pictures before the wedding, oh and the clubhouse got broken into and my poor friends thought my dress was in the building (it wasn't my Mom had it) and thought it got stolen. Other then that everything seriously went perfect! If it didn't everybody did a good job of hiding it from me :)

25) How long have you been married?
1 year, 6 months and 15 days!

Our amazing cake!

This is my FAVORITE picture from the 8000 Lesley took. It's just a candid, but you can see the Clubhouse behind us, and Steve is playing with my hair like he always does (which I LOVE and think is so sweet and caring), and we're both laughing and having fun like always. Sorry if I've posted it on here before but you get to see it again! It just totally captures and sums us up :)

April 3, 2009

Um yeah

Oh my so my last post got posted. It was an accident (God bless you for reading it I didn't even spell check the thing and I know it was all over the place!). You girls are amazing. It took everything I had in me not to sit at my desk and cry. You guys get me and know what I am feeling even though we're thousands of miles apart! Honestly I am fine. I don't want you all to think I sit at home and cry and stew and think something is going to happen. I am totally wicked excited and thrilled about this Baby! I won't let us live in a bubble and be "afraid" of God or anything else. I know he is a loving FORGIVING God and I thank him everyday for that! I just had a mumbled jumbled mess in my head and in my heart and I needed to get it down and get it out. I actually feel relieved and better since putting it down. I am free of all those feelings :) Even though I am scared to death of some people reading it and judging me I am human and I am scared and I let myself be vulnerable so whatever! So anyways thanks again to all my girls I love you guys you’re the best!!! I will probably defiantly need you in the first couple weeks after Hailey is here and I am a hormonal crying mess that is sleep deprived! Ha :) Yet I am so excited and thrilled to have those problems!!!

My parents came over last night and we got some more stuff finished up in Bean's room. Curtains got hung, and we sanded the changing table I bought off craigslist (LOVE it), it had a HORRIBLE paint job so that is my project this weekend is to give it a couple of coats of white paint! Woohoo!
My shower is tomorrow and I am soooooooo excited. I will feel SO much better after being able to wash clothes and blankets and get more things organized and ready! I have Monday off to go shop and buy necessities and do fun things like put her car seat base in my car and stuff! I am so weird the things I am excited about............I might even drive the Hubby nuts and get her swing up in the living room so he can stare at it for the next 4 weeks. Hehe.

So other then that nothing else exciting is going on with us. Steve pulled like 3 muscles in his back :( So my poor Baby missed some time this week at work, but did get a deep tissue message which seemed to help! Along with his AMAZING wifey who messages and helps him ice a hundred times a day and night. Haha. Hopefully he will be all better after this weekend! I really rely on him to help me since I can't bend down or do hardly anything for myself anymore, so it's been a trying week and we're trying not to let each other do to much which is interesting because we end up yelling at each other for getting up and not asking for help and then just sitting there laughing about it :)

I have D R A M A at my work. I am just trying to make it through these next 3 1/2-4 weeks. Blah! Any day after next Thursday (37 weeks) she wants to arrive I will be soooooooo happy! I have my first weekly dr apt on Monday and I get checked. Please pray for some movement in that area, I would love to be like 2 cm dilated! Haha. I highly doubt it but any progress is progress and I'll take it! I really don't want to go past my due date if possible!
OK I'm out of here. I'll make sure to update Tuesday or Wednesday next week w/ shower pictures and dr apt results. Love you all and have a blessed weekend! <3

March 30, 2009

Light at the end of the tunnel.....

5 weeks

38 days

27 working days (minus today and next Monday which I have off. Woohoo!)

920 hours

Not that I am counting or anything. But that is all that is left until the POSSIBLE last minute of getting to meet this little Bean inside me. That is going off of May 7th which is 41 weeks for me. April 30 is her ACTUAL due date, but I know everything is just a guess. Especially since honestly we have no idea when I even conceived or anything. It's all so confusing to me. I'm debating wither or not to ask for another ultra sound in one of my upcoming apts to see what she is measuring at and if April 30th is still accurate. In case you can't tell I am a planner Type A personality and not having an exact day is going to drive me batty. I have a feeling this stubborn lil miss is going to stay in as long as possible and not make an appearance unless forced out. I dunno induction after 40 weeks is just my gut. But who knows she has been head down since about 28 weeks (or longer that was just when it first occured to me to ask my dr what position she was in) and is currently extremely low and pushing my pelvic bones apart, so maybe I will be dilated at next weeks apt! I'm not counting on it though. And don't they always say that Momma knows best?? I like to think so :)
This weekend was especially hard. Like Steve said in his blog, me and this lil girl are fighting for room in my stomach. And she is so winning. Ha. She had the hiccups from about 3:30-4:15 Saturday night so I was awake from 3:30-5:15am it was not good. And again like Steve said we know our lives will change, we won't have quiet anymore, there won't be as much "I" or "WE" time anymore, life will revolve around a little tiny person. But we are so extremely excited and have wanted this our whole lives. I normally get between 8-10 hours of sleep. If I get less it's ugly people. I also realize this will change when Lil Miss is here. I am not looking forward to it, but I know it comes with the territory. I honestly plan on sleeping as much as possible. If she is fed and clean and awake I will still lay down and try to sleep. I'll just put her in a bouncy or swing or whatever. This is why I am praying every day and night for a calm happy Baby. Who loves her Momma and lets her sleep. Ha. Am I crazy ya'll?? I know we'll adjust and figure it out as we go along, I'm honestly not worried about it at all. I am more excited then anything! Every time I think of her grand entrance into the world, holding her on me for the first time, seeing her w/ her Daddy, feeding her, seeing her Daddy's reaction to her being born, these thoughts randomly pop in my head all day everyday and I get the biggest butterflies ever. I am so so so excited to be a Momma! I am nervous and anxious and worried but I know everything will be perfect exactly to God's plan.

So I need help from my bloggy friends!!! What is the 1 thing that you couldn't LIVE without when you had a newborn/baby??? And what is something that you wish you hadn't wasted your $ on or never used that you thought you would????

Any advice help would be appreciated! I am super duper excited my shower is Saturday and then me and Steve took the day off work next Monday to go out and get everything that we will still need and didn't get at the shower. I am so so so extremely excited! :) Help so we know what to get!!! Ya'll rock! I'll try to update at least once more this week if not then I will for sure after the shower and I'll include lots of pics :)

March 24, 2009

6 weeks.........

So I've been bad a blogger but I am going to try to get better. This might be long I'm just going to type and get everything out that I haven't updated on in the last couple weeks :) So either bear with me or skip over me cuz I might daddle on and on (who me?!? NEVER) and get long and boring. Ha

First off Pregnancy:
I have less then 7 weeks now! That is God for bid if she decides to be as stubborn as her parents and wait until after her "due date". I asked my Dr on Thursday during my apt how long he would let me go and he said not a day after 41 weeks. Woohoo! So folks that is May 7th. (not that I am counting or keeping track or anything right?) I'm praying and hoping she will make her appearance sooner then that, sometime between 38-39 weeks would be perfect for me! But we'll see. As long as she is healthy and I can push her out fine that is all I care about. Hopefully she won't have her Father's HUGE head :) hehe. I am so so so so so ready for her to come now. Well, physically I should say. I am so tired and huge and in pain. I'm trying SO hard not to complain and be a horrible pain in the you-know-what but I'm pretty sure I am. Haha. It's getting hard to sleep, laying on my side hurts, I shove pillows all around me but then I get to hot, I'm hot so I take covers off, then I am cold and add them back on. All my pants are to tight and don't fit me (I have been wearing Steve's basketball pants the last 3 days and even left the house in them. Oops), and none of my shirts are long enough to cover my belly. Ha. I've also got Edema or whatever the heck it's called. My feet are officially HUGE and water filled. None of my rings fit anymore :( Which is VERY hard for me. I hate being that "single pregnant" lady. Haha am I crazy or what?? I just feel so naked w/out my wedding ring on but I don't want it to be cut off either so I quit wearing it last week. I digress..............
I had a MAJOR scare this past Friday before work. First off I just have to say that I LOVE getting to know this little person inside of me. She is FULL of personality. She is always awake and most active right around meal times. (I almost always eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same times everyday) She flops all over the place and it's insane. She HATES being woken up or moved if she is hurting me. Yes she LOVES to shove her feet and legs in my sides and ribs and I will move her to a different position because I usually can't handle the pain. She is totally like her Daddy and it's so funny to see the similarities already. I can tell when she is sleeping she is going to want to be LEFT alone and not touched or messed with. Let the princess sleep! So anyways, all that to say that I worked the 9-6 shift Friday at work verses my usual 8-5 shift. So we got to sleep in another hour and I was behind on my breakfast by an hour. Apparently this threw lil miss off. She is most active when I am at work from 8-9:30 and then naps until lunch time around 11:30. Well, she was NOT moving much that morning at all. Not even after I ate breakfast. I was getting really worried. Dr R told me Thursday (the day before) at my apt that she was head down, WAY down and is already starting to engage and get ready for delivery. (woohoo this was the BEST news to me! But also explains the horrible bone pain I have been having and thought maybe it was some kind of weird contractions. Nope just her shoving her head into my pelvis bones spreading them apart. So lovely. But alas at 34 weeks I still have yet to feel any sort of contraction, real or braxton hicks) So I know her position mostly. I can feel what is her back and her butt and what is a leg. After not being able to feel her for over an hour I started going crazy. I called Steve hysterical crying in a panic. He was willing to come home and take me to the ER for a ultra sound (this was at 8:20 and my Dr office doesn't open until 9 other wise I would have just called them), but I said no I would wait and see if she would just move. I pushed and pushed and PUSHED like a mad woman on her back. I was shifting her from my left side to completely over to my right and nothing back. Not even a lil kick. Nothing. I squished my belly, jumped up and down, ate skittles (they say sugar helps them move?? NO? Maybe I just wanted skittles don't judge me), drank a BUNCH of water, went potty, laid down really still, even put ice pack on my belly (she HATES cold. Steve has the coldest hands in America I swear and if he touches my belly with them she twitches. it's hilarious), EVERYTHING I could think of. I was hysterical. I was crying and praying vastly to God to make her move if she was OK other wise I needed a sign to go to the hospital. Well, I decided to go to work and see if she would move then. Once we got in the car and I turned on the radio "I Am A Friend Of God" by Phillips, Craig and Dean came on and I blared it and started singing to her and tapping my belly telling her to move. As soon as I did that I left a foot move over to my hand that was tapping as if to say "I'm here Momma I'm just sleepy and want to be left alone" oh my I LOST it. I could barely see to drive I was crying so hard! I called Steve back and he was totally relived and probably thought I was totally psycho. As soon as I got to my desk there she was flopping around and flipping all over inside of me. I seriously think she was the most active that day that she has EVER been. Before when she would flop around in me and push on me I would whine and complain and tell her to stop and that she was hurting me. NEVER AGAIN. I swear she can do whatever she wants to me as long as she is OK!
So my question to you is now; if I am this psycho and neurotic BEFORE she is here what am I gonna be like when she does actually get here? Oh my! I don't want to be one of those horrible overbaring Mother's that holds her kids hand the whole time on the playground! But I was seriously worried and I know my Girl and her not moving for that long like that is totally odd! OK ya'll pray for me I think I'm gonna need it ;) Haha

Our house is pretty much at a stand still. Steve has had some scares the last couple weeks at work, 3 co workers from his dept got fired and now his boss who was "taking care" of Steve and his job is leaving. :/ It's all in God's hands and I'm really not THAT worried like I normally would be, but we're trying to make good choices financially and be careful w/ our spending. I would LOVE to hire a friend to paint the living room/kitchen/hallways but we decided it can wait until either this fall or even next spring. Bean's nursery is almost complete just need her changing table and some wall decor and she is good to go! Oh plus all the stuff to fill it! She has some clothes and a couple blankets and that is about it! Our shower is in 2 weeks and I am completely stoked! I'm sure I'll feel MUCH more ready after we get some more clothes and bath stuff and bottles and all that good stuff :) I'm getting so excited!!!!

Me and Steve are trying to spend as much time together just the 2 of us as possible and soak it all up before our lives completely change and we never have time to say hi to each other. :) Haha j/k I know we will always make time and have date nights but we know life won't be the same after she is here! I have lots of fun things planned for us over the next couple weeks, movies to rent, places to eat out, and little things around the house to do together. We're going to start scrapbooking pictures of our house being built in all the different stages so hopefully I can stay with it and actually finish a book!

We attended a class last Tuesday night that was taught by the Nurse Prac. in my Dr office. It was called Baby Camp and was just very basic info, what changes your body goes through during pregnancy, labor, and post partum. It was helpful but not a lot of new info that we haven't read in books/online. It was VERY cute though, there were 4 other couples and the men were so into this and asking questions and everything. It was funny. Steve was asking questions about contractions and pain meds and taking notes. It was sooo sweet, he just melts my heart how involved and excited he is. I'm very lucky! We are also taking a Breastfeeding class tonight at the hospital and I am most excited about this. I have a list of questions to ask and I know I will learn a lot. I am not scared of the pain or anything I just really am fixed on this working for us and my daughter having the best chance at a healthy life. :) I'll let ya'll know how it goes! Hehe. I have already warned Steve of the graphic nature of this class and I'm sure we'll both be surprised by things we see and hear.

With out further ado here are some pictures from the last couple weeks!!!

32 weeks and 3 days pregnant and her crib all put together! YAY!

34 weeks and 1 day

I know I'll regret putting this on here later and sorry I know it's graphic but I do love my belly and knowing my lil girl is safe inside of me growing big and strong!!!
Her crib! I have since washed and put on the sheets and a blanket and some stuffed animals. I'll take more pictures of it later
What I call our "Feeding station". Haha. Where I plan on spending a lot of time feeding her and rocking her to sleep. My Mom completely made the chair pads (they were light blue before) and the table cloths. I LOVE it so much it's sooooo special it's from Grandma and I truely love it!!!!
Lastly our new couch! YAY! So pretty and EXTRA comfty. It's perfect for this extra large pregnant lady to stretch out on. :) I've even slept on it a couple times when I had bad heartburn. Haha. LOVE it!!!
P.S. Make sure to go fill out our fun survey on the left side of our blog!! You can guess what day Hailey will arrive and how big she will be and stuff! So fun to see everybody's guesses!!! Maybe I'll even send a prize to the winner! :) So hurry and go guess NOW people!!!!

Wordless Wednesday

9 weeks

Yes I am totally counting down the weeks until I get to meet my little Jelly Bean. Oh my I can't wait. No more work, I'll have my body back (somewhat who knows in what condition ha), and I'll have my little Girl to hold and take care of and oddle over! Honestly I am sooo excited and anxious! I am most excited to see Steve and how he reacts as a Dad and how much he loves her. I am excited to take those cheesy pictures of them sleeping together with her on his chest and silly things like that! Especially him changing the first poopy diaper ;)
My body has decided to swell and/or retain water. I am NOT very excited about this. My fingers look like sausages with pretty diamond rings on them today :( They were NOT like this yesterday just all the of the sudden. And on Friday night me and sister Natalie went and got pedicures and when I took off my shoes and rolled up my jeans OMG I have CANKLES folks. I almost cried. Seriously. I have always liked my legs/feet. They aren't to big and look good in shorts and I especially love my toes after they are polished and I can wear my cute little sandals. Well, they are not cute fat and puffy and missing ankles! Oh my it was horrible! I am sooooo superficial huh? What if my face blows up?? 9 weeks of this left? Haha. We'll see what my dr says but I am trying to eat so healthy and pump myself full of water but I get so bloated! ha. OK so here are some pictures of me at 29 wks 4 days. I need to take some new ones this week!!

Side profile and my niece standing in front of me. That sweater seriously does hide most of my belly I am way bigger in person trust me! Not the best picture but it will have to do :)
Wendy (having her lil boy March 17th) her friend Leigh (having her lil boy June 1st) and me and Bean! You really can't see how big I am due to the sweater but hope you can see her a lil! :)

We got her room all painted now we are just hanging chair rail and it will be all done! Her crib and changing table come this Saturday and we are soo excited! It will feel so good to have it all done! Yay! Expect pictures to come.

Well, I will end this here even though I am bored out of my gourd! (something my Momma says. Ha) I looked at my last post and can't believe I wrote that much. Oops! Sorry guys! :) Loves!!!

February 20, 2009

6 months

I am one that is huge on Anniversary's. I love reminding Steve (even though we don't celebrate) of our dating, engagement, birthday's, wedding, first kiss, first date, first time we went here or do this or whatever. It's fun to me to look back at however long it's been and see where we are and that we actually made it here!
6 months ago today I was sitting here at my desk in tears, with a horrid stomach ache trying not to throw up from anticipation and worry. I was going to go to my Dr office at 12:15 and find out what all 5 sticks I tested meant. If you remember I took 5 tests the night before, 2 were positive and 3 were negative. I was scared, excited, worried, confused out of my mind. But mainly I was trusting God and praying w/ my whole heart that his will be done and if he wanted us to have a Baby he would take care of everything and we would be fine. It turns out God wanted us to have a Baby. It was probably one of the most emotional days of my life. We had been trying for 10 months to get pregnant to no avail. And honestly to this day I don't know when or how (besides the obvious) it happened. Was it some of the meds I was taking?? Was it because I wasn't so consumed in temperatures, times, cycles, ect?? Or was it just God's will?? I'm pretty sure it was that we surrendered to God's timing and everything worked out when he wanted it to work. I am so so so grateful for this Baby and for that day and all the hard time we went through. It seriously makes me so much more excited and grateful then I ever could have been.
I have been waiting to write a post because I wanted to post a belly picture, I went to a baby shower the other night and had my picture taken with a "friend" (it's confusing, she is my sister in laws sister, but I just consider her to be a good friend) and one of her friends at the shower. Wendy is having her baby on March 17th and her friend is due June 1st and we took some pictures together and I've been waiting for the MIL to email them. I didn't ask her to but she just usually does and this one time she didn't! Oh well I'll see her tomorrow night and will ask her to then and then I'll just have to write another post and put the picture up. Or maybe I'll take one tonight. Me and my sis are going to get our toes done and go to dinner so I'll take some pictures when I get home :) That is if we don't have another stupid blizzard..........ugh I am so done with winter! Sorry...........

Anywho, I am now 30 weeks and 1 day. Oh my freaking gord I am going to have a Baby! This is seriously starting to freak me out. I'm not worried about being ready for her to come (cuz we're totally not) or even labor and delivery (which I am). I am more worried about how this little Bean is going to impact our lives. Will I be a good Mom? Will I be to strict and mean and yell at spank her all the time?? Or will I think she is so perfect and cute and adorable that she will go to other people's house and in public and yell and scream and break stuff like those kids that we don't really "care" for???? Oh my it's a lot of pressure. Seriously it sounds so bad but I see parents these days, out in public at wally world, target, the mall, even friends with kids that I see first hand and I wonder why they don't discipline?? Seriously? Why does everybody over indulge and spoil thier kids?? They sit in the shopping cart and yell and scream and throw a fit so the parent gives them cookies. HUH?? Shouldn't you calm the child and warn/scare them to calm down, tell them they can't have cookies cuz they threw a fit and next time if they are good and sweet and quiet they can have a treat. Doesn't that just make sense?? Or why if a child is talking back to you would you pick it up and praise them?? Shouldn't you tell them it's wrong to talk that way and that they have to apologize?? I seriously don't get it. I know it will be different then I think it is, I'll have a hard time hurting her and telling her No but I refuse to be her friend and let her get out of control. All those kids screaming and getting their way in Target, what will they be like when they are 17 18 years old? Scary! Anyways must be my hormones but these are things I am pondering and obsessing over right now. LOL.
Plus I am I don't know what would you say, nervous, worried, upset about how me and Steve's lives are going to change. I'll be sleep deprived, in pain, crabby, and he'll be sleep deprived and want to help but not want to over do it w/ his health and it will be hard! Plus the fact that we can't just throw on some shoes and run to Target or the mall or to a movie whenever we want. I'll have to plan outings w/ my girlfriends, trips to the grocery store, around feedings. We might not get much time in front of the tv cuddling and talking b/c she will need to be fed and changed and make sure she isn't screaming her head off. Ugh. So much pressure! Ha. Trust me this is ALL I have ever wanted in life. I have the most perfect life I could ever imagine and this little Bean is just making it even more amazing. But I honestly never thought it would happen. I never thought it would be real and I would be having an actual Baby grow inside of me. So so so crazy.
Which brings me to my OTHER worry. When I first first found out I was pregnant I was a nervous wreck. I would lose the Baby, it wouldn't form/grow properly, I would start to bleed, SOMETHING would go wrong. Then after the first 12/15 weeks I stopped worrying about that and moved on to bigger and better things. I worried they would find something horribly wrong at the 20 wk ultra sound. Some deformity, or chromosomal abnormality or something wrong. The only thing they found was my fluid was a tiny bit low and I needed to drink more water. Seriously?? She is perfect and fine and I am capable of growing a perfect little human?? Now I am on to other things, cord issues, placental abruption, her not fitting in the birth canal, being breech, SOMETHING!!!! Seriously do you have any idea how hard it is to be retarded and be me? I am my Father's child. I read WAY to much info on the web.
I have had almost every minor pregnancy side effect you can encounter. Heartburn-check. Leg cramps-check. Bloating-check. Bloody noses-check check check. Nausea-check. Food aversions-check. Failed my 1st gestational Diabetes test-check. Yes failing that test was HUGE for me. Seeing my Dr's office on my caller ID that day was horrible my heart sank. I couldn't get in for the 3 hour glucose test for 7 days. They weren't happy but what could they do. I totally and completely changed my diet from that moment on. I cut myself down to less then 150 carbs a day. (from probably 2000 a day ha) It was so hard, emotionally, physically, everything. I broke down so hard. It was pathetic. Steve would just hold me and let me go off and scream and cry and tell me it would be OK. Why was my body failing me? I couldn't make a Baby, then when it finally decided to do that I couldn't process my sugar and could in turn hurt or even kill my baby and possibly me?? WHAT?? Oh my it was bad. I am SUCH a drama queen. I ate so well that whole week. Sugar free snacks, sandwiches, LOTS of fruit and veggies, only water to drink, man it was HARD. I LOVE LOVE LOVE me some sugar ya'll. Honestly. And to give it all up?? I was not dealing well w/ this.
So to make a long post even longer b/c I am BORED out of my eyeballs here is the whole long Hospital visit story from last Saturday.
I woke up at 6:30am and hopped in the shower, my lovely most amazing Husband begrudgingly also woke up and got ready to go with me. Am I lucky ladies or what? He promised he would be with me every step of the way that day and he truly was. I woke up starving. I ate a sugar free ice cream bar at 8:30pm Friday night and wasn't allowed to eat anything after midnight. I didn't know if it included drinking but I figured water would be fine right?? What can water do to alter glucose tests?? Well, for some reason in the morning something told me not to have anything at all until we got there and if they said I could have water I would get me a bunch. Good thing I didn't.

We leave and get to the hospital at about 7:50 and I was supposed to be there at 8. I go to the desk at the Diagnostic Center and tell the little cute lady who I am and what not and she tells me she is having computer problems and can't print anything off, including the forms I need to fill out to start the test. Seriously? So we wait, and wait, and wait and wait. We waited until 8:40 to fill out the forms. Great. Finally we get the paper work situated and this weird nurse blood taker lady takes me to small back room (more like a hall way with some chairs and curtains), tells me to sit in the "comfty" chair and rest my arm on the pillow. She wanders around talking to herself and being super weird. Me and Steve are looking at each other trying not to lose it. Honestly. So she won't really tell me what is going to happen or how this test works she just keeps mumbling weird stuff. I ask her if I can drink water and she says no not to. Seriously?? So she finally ends up telling me that basically they take my blood once, see what my sugar levels are since I hadn't eaten in over 12 hours (almost 13 by this point it was like 9:15) and if I drew a super high level with nothing in my system they would not proceed with the test and know that I had the Gestational Diabetes. If I had a good low number I would have to drink that nasty orange stuff (which I will give you my full opinion on it since you asked thankyouverymuch. It's like a 6 oz plastic water bottle filled with mostly w/ water, 10 cups or more of sugar and a packet of orange kool aid. There you have it folks it's not "flat orange juice" like some weird ppl say it is (what does UN flat OJ taste like then?? Weird, OJ has no carbonation in it so I don't know how it can go flat? I am confused on that one)), get my blood tested an hour after I first drink it, then again in an hour and then AGAIN in another hour. Yes folks 4 blood draws. Oh my I felt woozy already. And no food or water or anything until those 3+ hours are done. Yippie. So I got my first blood at like 9:10 or something and they threw it to the lab to be tested and the results would come back in a matter of minutes. Meanwhile while we're waiting for the first draw to come back so know if we need to proceed with the test or not psycho scary blood taker lady gets on the phone talking about her bagel order. EXCUSE ME??? Ya'll do NOT understand how much in love with bagels I am. Seriously. If there is one around I eat it. Give me a gourmet bagel like from Panera or Brugers and I go nuts. Cream cheese?? My BFF. I can eat it plain out of the container seriously ask any member of my family. It's a bad addiction. And of course I have been craving them but I knew w/ my new no sugar/carb diet I was on they didn't quite fall into the healthy category. So anyways I hear her on the phone w/ PANERA talking about her bagel/cream cheese order and didn't know when she could come pick it up. Um excuse me??? I literally think I started drooling. I squeezed Steve's hand and gave him the widest eyed look I could manage. He started laughing so hard and squeezing my hand back. So guess what psycho blood taker lady did?? She called some other poor lab tech guy in that has never done glucose testing, so she could go and pick up her bagel order!!!! OK seriously?? So now I have some poor boy taking my blood and making me drink stuff that he doesn't have any clue about?? This did NOT go over well w/ Steven. He was about to either A) walk out or B) go tell them we wanted somebody who KNEW what they were doing or we were going to refuse anything. I told him to calm down and we'd see what happens and how it goes and then freak out on somebody if we had to. lol. So blood taker Lady (that I didn't care for anywhere and almost killed me taking my 1st blood draw I couldn't imagine if she did 3 more) left to get her dumb panera. Whoopie. So we're still just hanging out and have no idea what is going on. Before lab boy came Blood taker lady was mumbling something about how they were out of the glucose drink but some was coming from somewhere and I didn't completely understand. So once she went on her panera run lab boy came over and told us he was so so so sorry but they were out of the nasty orange drink and they were physically driving some clear across town from some main lab in South Omaha. (we are at the hospital across the st from our house which is just about as North as you can get in Omaha) Oh and did I mention Friday night we got about 8" of snow and the roads were still terrible? Yeah this was gonna take awhile. So we wait. And wait and wait. I guess they ordered it sometime at 7am and it didn't get there until 9:45. So I drink my crap at 9:50 and have to wait an hour to get more blood drawn. Oh yeah! My 1st levels came back very low which was good and I was very relived. Well, to a point who really wants to drink that orange crap and have their blood taken 3 more times?? But whatever I would do it if it meant there was a small possibility of being healthy and "normal". So we go and wander around the hospital for an hour. We found the gift shop, a computer lab so we check our email (and I updated my facebook ha! I'm a geek), a really cool empty office with a kickin fish tank so we hung out there and relaxed and watched the fishies, and then we found the cafeteria and Steve got a Burger for "lunch" at 10:30 am. LOL. I ran some things out to the car and when I got back Blood Taker lady was magically back from panera. Ugh. I was not happy to see her. So she took me back and ohmygord did this one hurt. I'm sure I was severely hydrated by this time, it had been over 14 hours since I had ate or drank anything. (Unless you count the nasty orange kool aid mixture or brushing my teeth at 7:30am) So my blood was not fully flowing. Sorry if this is TMI or if you have a weak stomach but I could actually feel the blood trying to come out my vain. That is how bad it was. I think Steve's hand turned purple from me squeezing it so hard. It was bad. So we wait for another hour. By this point Steve is exhausted and wanted to go home, I WANTED to go home but more then anything I wanted fruit and to drink a gallon of water. I was miserable and not handling it the best way I could. Steve sat in the un-comfty chairs in the waiting room and I joined him and we saw that "Notting Hill" was on tv, one of our most favorite movies ever. So we went and watched it for an hour until it was time for my next blood draw. Oh my I almost didn't make it. Somehow in that time scary blood taker lady left. No idea where she was going but I was praying she was not coming back. She was scary and hurt me. So finally after the longest hour of my life lab boy takes us back and does yet another draw. I asked him what my last draw came back at and he said he would try to check but didn't know if he had access to them. (since this obviously wasn't his normal job or station) So he did the blood draw perfectly I didn't barely feel a thing it was amazing. Of course after my arms starting killing me. Just so you understand here and get the full picture, on Thursday at my Dr apt Kayla took 2 vials for the initial glucose test out of my right arm, then the following Saturday (not 2 days but 9 days later) I had her take from the left arm, then from the right again, and then lab boy did the left AGAIN and I still had one to go. Yes I was in pain and it was ugly.
So after the last draw we were the only ppl left in the center so we decided to run home (we live about 4 minutes from the hospital) to rest and Steve needed some food and then we would run back for the last draw. Blah. I was SO SICK and TIRED and HUNGRY. It was bad. I started getting nauseous from going almost 16 hours with no food or water or anything. I changed my pants from jeans into gauchos and laid in bed. It was bad. I had some close calls but managed not to get sick. We went back and lab boy said he couldn't pull up the draws but he would call and see what he could do and if we could find out. I did not want to wait all weekend until my Apt Monday to find out the results. I wanted to know if I should be extra super careful or if I could have me some S U G A R. Haha. I am so bad! So we get the last one done, yes a 3rd poke in about a week in my poor right arm :( It was bad. But lab boy did a great job and again it didn't hurt until about 30 minutes later. By now it's past 1 o'clock. Almost 17 hours with no food or drink. And we could NOT find out the results. Because of privacy acts the lab could only reveal results to my Dr office not to me :( Oh my I was pissed and threw a fit. Seriously I did. Felt like I went through all that for nothing. It was bad. I needed to know and I needed to know RIGHT NOW. So I made Steven stop at Bueno and get me a taco and a tostada. LOL. I went home and scarfed it like no other, drank about 2 bottles of water and went to bed bloated like an elephant. I slept for 3 hours and woke up feeling much better and still hungry. I ate a couple snacks and laid around for awhile. I then got up the energy to go to walmart since we were completely out of food and drug my sorry weak butt around the store. I got home and ate some here and there stuff and laid on the couch the rest of the night. Oh did I mention that this was Valentine's Day?? Do I have the greatest hubby ever or what? He spent the entire morning/afternoon w/ me at the hospital, and then made a HUGE "bed" of blankets and pillows on the floor and laid and cuddled me. Plus he gave me the best sweetest card I have ever received in my life. Oh my I love that man! So all in all it wasn't the best Valentine's day ever. Ha. But we have each other and our little Bean and we're happy :) All I said was I wanted to be together and that is what I got!
So I managed to make it through the rest of the weekend on minimal sugar on my diet, and on Monday morning decided I would call the Dr office and just have them read me the results over the phone. My Apt wasn't until 4:15 and I had already waited 2 days I didn't want to have to wait all day Monday to! So I called at like 9:15 and Dr Reed wasn't in yet and he was the only one that could read the results so I should call back after like 11. :( Seriously? So I wait and call back at like 11:10 and got put on hold forever and a day and got to busy at work and had to hung up and call back :( So I called back at like 11:30 and they were so insanely busy I talked to Kayla, my nurse and she said Dr Reed hadn't read them yet! :O WHAT? So I just told her I could just wait until my apt at 4 and talk to Dr Reed then :( I was seriously bummed but managed not to completely lose it at work. So I finally got to leave for my apt at about 3:50 and got there and waited and waited and waited. Finally Dr Reed got so tired of waiting for me to come back there he called me back himself. LOL to funny! So I go back and Kayla is all confused and told me to go give my "sample" and she'd be right with me. So Dr Reed goes "oh did you hear about your test Rebecca?? You passed" and my face went white I'm sure and Kayla goes "no she failed" and I almost lost it ya'll. He was like "NO NO she failed the first one but passed the 3 hour" Hallelujah! I actually physically laid my head on Dr Reeds arm and breathed a sigh of relief. I told him I was at the hospital for over 5 hours and it was horrible and they were laughing at me. I told him about bagel lady and they were dying. He was like man I bet you wanted a bagel sooooo bad! LOL. It was great. So after that I was floating and felt so much better! I actually feel like this Baby will be OK and healthy and will get to come home w/ us in a normal time and no ICU or anything :) We also made a final decision about which hospital to labor at. The one we had the "3" hour test at is 2 minutes from our house we really weren't that impressed. Like I said to Steve I'm sure it's b/c it was a Saturday but his answer was well what if I go into labor on a SUNDAY?!? True! The other choice is a brand new Hospital that has only been open about 5-6 years, and I've heard it's like giving birth at the Hilton. Jacuzzi tubs in every L/D room, pedicures, manicures, and messages after you give birth, a level II Nicu (the other hospital by our house does not have one at all and if a problem arose she would have to go across town to a different hospital), and just an amazing facility. Oh and did I mention my Dr lives 5 minutes away from there?? So it might take us 20 minutes to get there but him only 5, and since I know he will on call for my delivery and I would like him to get there as quickly as possible and not drive clear across town to get to me :) I secretly wanted to deliver there since the day I found out I was pregnant (and even before honestly) b/c it's so new and pretty and nice but there was nothing wrong w/ the hospital closer to us. Well, after dealing w/ the lady that took 2 hours to get her computer turned on, then panera lady who left somebody in charge that didn't know what they were doing, we're done w/ that place. Scary! We will obviously go there if it's an emergency and we have to but for now we'll plan on the Hilton! Woohoo!
OK I could go on and on and on. I already have. I think this is about 1/2 a Harry Potter Book now so I'll stop. HA! But I was REALLY bored and wanted to pass the time at work and it worked! Plus I love going back and reading old posts and remembering these times and things I went through! YAY!
Also have to give a shout out to some of my favorite blogs:

Alison is about to give birth any day to her little "B"! YAY! Can't wait to see him :)
Also
